I really like MOM to be honest. i don't get the obsession with the production and her voice etc. I don't think it sounds any different to other songs she has done. So many Kylie fans are music producers lol

Hmm, the one thing I’d certainly agree with the majority on, is that the vocal production is noticeably different to Kylie’s recent songs. I don’t think you have to have an in depth knowledge of production techniques, it’s simply what you can hear, and there’s a distinct difference in the way Kylie’s vocal is produced here, compared to her other recent work (and the same goes for Bebe). Then both of them are in stark contrast to how Tove Lo sounds relatively “normal” in her section of the song, which comes off as a curious choice!

 

I like the song regardless but I understand the comments about the production, completely.

This song deserves to flop! Kylie usually has bangers and moments, and this is not it for me. It’s a very lazy sounding song .

Every listen I like it more and more.

 

Maybe I don't notice about Kylies voice because I like the vocoder affect?

 

 

Let's be honest Kylie can't really flop anymore lol.

 

The only thing it can do is not sell as many of the reissue album physicals as they want.......

Quite agree. I’m a bit surprised by all these half baked random collabs.

As for the song, I love it more with each listen. So far, I don’t like it as much as Midnight Ride, but I still do enjoy it a lot.

I'm also surprised by how negative some of the responses are to this! Totally get the criticism of the vocal production as it does sound a bit odd for Kylie and Bebe, and it's definitely basic, but it's really catchy and loads of fun so I know I'll be getting a fair bit out of this. Not Kylie's best ever but I'll definitely be found bopping!

I don't think it's terrible by any means in fact it sounds even better on second listen. Catchy for sure. The vocals are weird and I even think they're strange for Tove Lo though not quite as bad as for Kylie or Bebe.

I think people react more strongly because it is a collab and not solo. But the thing is, there isn't any particular NEED for these either. You keep saying "it's for streams" but the real success doesn't build around releasing throwaway every two months (unless her goal is to stay on BBC Radio 2 playlist forever without a break)

i only saw someone said they saw a screenshot of CD and Cassette out 12th July and Vinyl 9th August ??? not sure if true or not? i guess today we will get to know what comes on her website.

 

if album out 23rd august then its going to be quick releases i am sure, build up some streams. Maybe Physicals, remixes next week etc . Joel Corry track maybe mid august?
