Lights camera action would have been a better title for the album for me but I kinda see why they called it Tension 2, part of me thinks padam padam and the title track tension should be included as bonus track as they might help its streaming and possibly make the album more appealing to the casual buyer.

I do like the artwork though and think I prefer it to the original tension, it gives me aphrodite vibes.

Shawn Mendes is out too?

Edit. He’s had 2 x #3’s and 2 x #12’s, so maybe no threat :D

And his new era so far is a flop - he’s deffo giving 15-out vibes at best.

I think calling it Tension II is all about the tour. It’s a hugely ambitious undertaking and they want to ensure success. This way they can trade off Padam and the halo effect of a hit album (so big it demanded a sequel!), even though it’s no 1 status was fleeting and largely achieved by an extremely loyal fan base shelling out for gimmicks and variants.

It’ll be interesting to see if it sells out or extra shows are added. I also wonder if Bebe and Tove will turn up as guests acts. There had to be some strategy to investing all that $ in a video.

It’s a bit frustrating because, while Padam was HUGE and Tension was a top 20 smash, Tension as a whole was her weakest album in a while and it really lacked the longevity of Disco and Golden. I kind of just wanted her to move on to something new with this next album. It feels a bit like a Carly Side B album - seen as a bunch of tracks that weren’t good enough to make the original (even if in Kylie’s case that’s not true). I realise how negative I’m coming across :P I just never fell in love with Tension the way I did the previous 2 albums.

I loved the original album I have to say but I think the timing with Kylie away did it no favours commercially.

I love all 3 BMG studio albums but golden is my least fave and I'm unsure whether I prefer disco or tension although hold on to now is such a huge standout.

Some of Carly's strongest material is included on those Side B albums! I wouldn't say her Side B projects indicate that the songs were all considered to be "not good enough" - and I don't think her fans see it that way either. (Or the critics for that matter)

(I appreciate that this is off topic x)

I really think ‘Tension’ is a sign of the times for artists like Kylie - most are lucky to spend 1/2 weeks in the Top 100.

I think Tll will perform similarly although could get a boost from the tour.

Rumoured Deluxe CD coming out this week with 3 more songs

Would not be suprised if it comes on pre-order with the tour ticket sales

The deluxe tracks are rumoured to be called;

“Crying in the Dark”, “Tell You This” and “Winter”.

Kylie really said "I'll give you anything but not Running"!

I think Tension 1 will be given a boost by the Tour and also some inevitable pricing deals and tour gimmicks.

It's been top 50 on Amazon best sellers, top 130 on Apple streaming and top 100 on itunes. All these sales add up.

Some fans may well prefer Tension 1 to Tension 2 and vice versa.

Come through Kylie, come through

Well they did say those songs would not be available outside of the release week special edition etc. Isn't there some kind of law against false advertising etc?

Running is unreleased, but has been the most fan-demanded leaked song!

The songs released on the digital version but not available since (bar very briefly on streaming) are Drum and Heavenly Body.

There's been some other digital releases from BMG where the tracks ended up being available afterwards, so I'm not sure that they have to stick to their word with Drum and Heavenly Body, but as things stand it seems they're going to!

When was 'Running' ever officially available?

Oh I thought Running was with Heavenly Body etc on the digital special release. Apologies

But it's not lol.

I see Katy Perry has released a special digital album for midweek for a few days to boost her sales.

I expect Kylie to do the same

Plus........ we haven't seen the signed items yet? Surely we will all be getting those too on release week lol
