Only heard iTunes clips so far. There is nothing bad on the new album although I’m not a fan of edge of Saturday night but the songs don’t sound as strong as first album at all. I can see why these tracks were left off the first tension collection. Good as gone sounds the best of the bunch.

After 1 listen Good As Gone is definitely the highlight. The focus track (Someone for Me) sounds horrendous but then again, the Romanian dance pop vibe has never been for me.

 

It's very weird that the collaborations are just put there in the end... a bizarre listening experience.

I received my dispatch notice from Golden Discs but will still mean i wont have my copies in hand until MOnday

Oh my on first listen it’s what I sadly expected, it just sounds like Tension 1 rejects, cheap cash in on the success maybe.

 

I’m not a first listen and songs hooked sort of person so hopefully I’ll be eating my words sooner than later.

The ending of Someone For Me bumps it from a 6/10 to an 8/10 for me

 

I know iTunes sales mean nothing but I’m shocked Tension II is only #4

'Taboo' and 'Kiss Bang Bang' are my two early favourites, 'Hello' sounding good too. The features actually don't sound too out of place on it for me. And I don't know why people are hating on 'My Oh My' so much, it's a banger!

It was #5 at about 9am, and then moved to #4 in the most recent update a couple of hours ago.

It’s gonna be very interesting to see the first sales update for Tension II, on first look it feels like there is less/buzz hype about this album, probably the least since Kiss Me Once, but on the other hand - we’ve no idea how the tour pre-sale bundles helped, just look at how much they helped Coldplay, so maybe that will make up for the shortfall in fan interest.

 

Either way I think we’re in for a shock, it’s either going to be really low sales compared to Kylie’s other BMG albums, or way more than we expected due to the tour ticket album bundles.

Taboo feels very Hung Up

Someone for Me is already no 89 on Apple Music Australia. Not sure any of her recent singles have peaked much higher.

 

The album is also finally no 1 on UK iTunes

 

All the new songs are also in the U.K. iTunes top 200 for whatever that’s worth.
