Rock band Phantom Planet lose out next with 'California' which was a top 10 hit in 2005 although it first was released and charted in 2002. It was first heard in the tv show Fastlane then later became the theme song for the Fox tv show The O.C. it's also featured in film Orange County and in an episode of The Simpsons.

Saving Steps for Summer of Love and voting Blue. It's an ok cover and does remind me of Christmas 2002, was pretty much the only song at the top end of the chart that wasn't associated with Popstars: The Rivals. But I prefefer the other five.

OMG California was the only one amazing song in this list. :drama:
