I mean, I guessed that much but surely he should have been recast by now? He’s never set the world alight with his acting so if he’s more focused on uni, surely they could cast a more committed actor?

I've been catching up and my god this is a terrible time for the show. Christmas is going to be rubbish isn't it. Bring back the unemptied bins and bus crashes.

He's focusing on his exams in real life, so ism't available for much filming atm - maybe after/ during uni?

Also it is DIRE atm. Utter drivel.

The actor is 19 isn't he? seems odd he has appeared about 10 times this year. Whilst the actor playing Tommy is 15/16 and appeared in nearly the same amount as Linda/ Callum/ Nicola...

Just feels like they don't know what to do with the character and focussing on others. It feels a bit laughable now as he is just so underdeveloped and never used.

For them to mark his milestone birthday without even allowing him to appear is really strange.

He’s only a month older than Oscar is supposed to be. Couldn’t they give them a friendship or something?

No, that's impossible, as then it becomes obvious that Oscar is, and is written as, someone in early/ mid 20s, and has nothing to do with the teenagers.

Also hmm, they could recast him, but then maybe they don't want to scare away good teenage actors, who also want the option to continue studying whikst doing EE, so they just let him come and go as he likes (seieng as he's an alsoran character anyway)

A recast would be good, they need to focus on building up the next generation somewhat I think. Amy and Will as Mitchells should be the forefront of that, they’ve done well with Oscar they could surely boost up those.

Surely Teddy isn’t actually going down for Murder, is the actor leaving the show ? The police knew Okie was apart of the drug scandal and I’m sure were even looking for him so it would surely be seen as either self defence or at most Manslaughter .

This is Eastenders and the nee showrunner we're talking about 🤣🤣 Expect as much logic as a Trump speech

Maybe in a better era I’d be more excited but I can’t help but feel they just need to let Pat rest now. I can’t remember her and Nigel having a great deal to do with one another. It’s sad she was killed off but I feel like the show has moved on?

Just bring Pat back!! Pretend she didn't die and just have her turn up, no explanations necessary.

Latest clue looks like they’re gearing up for a Barry return too. I can get on board a bit more with the circle concept if it’s more than just Pat.

Tiffany next please.

Would love to see Tiffany back but not sure Martine would do it.

Im glad Pat will be back even for a very short part, remains their biggest mistake killing her off the way they did.

Alice Haig continuing to be a beaming light in a shoddy time for the show. I did like how Ravi's kids finally confronted him about what he'd done and how it's affecting Barney is good to see. There are some flickers of good writing but it's being overshadowed by guff like ANOTHER quiz night. I know it's normal for pubs to have a quiz night every week but a soap like EE does not need to showcase something like that. There's true to life and then there's downright boring.

Another quiz night, these things need to die.

When are Anna and Freddie leaving? I can’t keep going with this negative chemistry love story for two characters that are so underdeveloped. The fact they shoved in a comparison that they’re like Kat and Alfie was actually sacrilege.

And Chelsea’s date felt too random and quick. It’s nice to see Chelsea get screen time and Alice Haig is brilliant at everything she does but I feel this should have built up over a couple of episodes before we got to that cliffhanger.

It was nice to see Zoe actually do something other than look for a cat or shout about money/her son

Well i found it interesting last week when Jean said we are sick of hearing about this bloody cat which is exactly what so many fans are saying but hopefully the reveal can overcome all this and make it interesting and it really needs to be after the length of time that has gone into this bloody cat.
