May 22May 22 and another 36! We did the music round of a pub quiz last night, I needed help with Here Comes The Hotstepper from the rest of the team, and I failed to recognise Snow Patrol and Chainsmokers from a small intro clip no vocals. 60's to 80's stuff piece of cake though as those brain cells are ingrained on Long-Term-Memory. Last 15 years not so much! Bastille's Pompeii was an obvious get though. The brain work-out helped today though....round 1: 39round 2: 393 in 10: My Coo Ca Choo, Red Dress, You You You

Smokie are largely forgotten in the UK these days, but had a solid 5 years of hits at the time, and were even more massive into the mid 80's in Germany. The tempo is very singalong German-friendly compared to what German acts were selling at the time. (Yes I've been Youtubing top songs of each year in Germany 😆)

Bit late on yesterdays, but here goes courtesy Popmaster replay:round 1: 39 shamefully I even knew Zig & Zaground 2: 393 in 10: Dont Go, Only You, Nobody's DiaryMidge Ure I saw last night, hooray, impressive light/video show accompaniment for a themed part 1, and a hits get up and dance second part. Hymn sounded better live than I remembered, a banger after all, and Vienna was a moment, but If I Was, Fade To Grey highlights just brilliant, and Yellow Pearl is still fun, and a bunch of Ultravox stuff like Dancing With Tears In My Eyes, Reap The Wild Wind, The Voice. Bought the new album.and todays:round 1: 39round 2: 393 in 10: Love Is Life, I Believe In Love, You Couldve Been A Lady - I did my bit, just scrolling up to get Love Is Life as my signature/chart-topper tribute to the late Tony Wilson. And for being unable to remember the title to an "all summer" lyric quote from Lush Life. I had the tune, I had the artist, but the title just wouldnt come. Tch! 😄Round 1: 39Round 2: 36 Rick Astley missed the Heart bit3 in 10: Father Figure, Freedom, Faith. In an FFFF mode there.
