Thanks Rollo, congrats back atcha and Mr Brightside slipping your mind sounds like bliss to a lot of us sick of hearing it. It will always remind me of walking to my car avoiding the massive rats looking for snacks as the strains of Mr Brightside pounded from St Mary's stadium, Soton behind me 😄

round 1: 39

round 2: 36 2 years out!

Round 2: 33 McCrae, Yvonne Elliman

3 in 10: 3 Orchard Road, When I Need You, Long Tall Glasses

Thanks Jade and sorry I've been away to Merseyside seeing lots of old friends in that area, 2 of them lived at Churchdown in Gloucester back in the day after we at uni, 2 were next door neighbours nearby in 1974, and our New Zealand tour guide was there too in 1974 - I was showing photos of the holiday around. Co-incidences in life always amaze me. Well done both on the 39's and the three Searchers tracks Jade! I did have a go in the car driving on thursday but I cant remember what I got😎

Well done John on today's double 39.

Round 1: 24 Stay, Olivia Newton-John, A Night To Remember, Helen Wheels (I knew it was a girl's name followed by Wheels but couldn't think of the name)

Round 2: 27 Never Forget, Steely Dan

3 in 10: 2 Cathy's Clown, All I Have To Do Is Dream

One Newton-John short of a top mark Jade, and thanks Rollo! I guess If Not For You is more thought of as a George Harrison hit these days (but not in the UK where so many Beatles album tracks did not ever get released, solo or together). Talking of which, Helen Wheels is easier to remember if you think of it as the pun name of their then-actual car (eg Hell On Wheels). A bit like avoiding calling your daughter Helen if your surname is Back or Earth....😇

round 1: 36 Cliff! Fell for the same mistake as the contestant

round 2: 39

3 in 10: Promises, I Shot The Sherrif, Layla

Yes well done John for that double 39!

today's game:

Round 2: 33 (didn't get: Billy Swan)

3-in-10: 3 (Layla, Tears In Heaven, Wonderful Tonight)

Thanks Jade, and well done Rollo another 39 and another frustratingly close one-answer-short round for us all then! 😮 I note I'm still spelling Sheriff wrong 52 years on unless I stop to think about it...😄I blame the once-famous actor Omar Sharif, though I dont think Doctor Zhivago's script said "I Shot The Sharif"

round 1: 39
