I find it astonishing that songs lower down the list actually get played more than once a day, when they've literally got THOUSANDS of other hits to choose from. Why do they feel the need to choose from such a small selection?

Heart are a little better on their decade specific stations in not letting too many repeats through but maybe they should learn a lesson from Planet Radio (Absolute specifically) and have some sort of 'no repeat guarantee'
It isn't even as if there haven't been any recent Heart-friendly hits. Cat Burns, Sam Ryder, George Ezra and Lady Gaga would have slotted in nicely on their playlist. Maybe they'll add those in the next few months lol.

Yeah, I could understand it if the songs that they did play were all genuine monster hits, but what are they doing still playing "Sweet Talker"? And the Lost Frequencies track isn't super Heart-friendly.

I get that their listeners like familiarity and safe songs but I cannot understand why they don't change it up more than they do.

They only started playing 'Sweet Talker' pretty recently, lord knows why they took so long to decide to play that as the decision clearly wasn't based on it becoming a big hit.
That Guetta/Newman one is most baffling to me, it barely made an impact last year and isn't exactly the sort of thing they'd usually fall over themselves for.
It's because it's a Whitney cover. They still play 'Take Me To The Clouds Above' by LMC/U2 a lot too which uses the same sample.

Surely, it wouldn't hurt for them to mix the playlist up a bit. For example, there are a few artists out there which would fit Heart's format (e.g, Tom Grennan, Cat Burns, Lauren Spencer-Smith, George Ezra, Joji). Don't the presenters get bored from hearing the same 50 songs every day?

Heart must pay really well :kink: I still wonder why Dev left Radio 1 to join Heart of all places

Yeah, I remember being totally baffled by that!

Think Dev knew he was out the door in the next Radio 1 shakeup so probably jumped before he was pushed.
Heart additions:

Jax Jones feat. MNEK - Where Did You Go?

Lizzo - About Damn Time

Also, Joji's Glimpse of Us.

Really? Wow that's actually commendable for Heart if true, they're only a few days behind Radio 1 on this.
