January 2Jan 2 But it was no1 for 7 weeks in 2024 so it’s strange, anyone remember how long it was A Listed last year compared to 2023?
January 2Jan 2 Author 9 weeks (including the 2 frozen weeks at the end of 2023) vs 4 weeks on the A List
January 9Jan 9 Former Radio 1 Breakfast presenter Nick Grimshaw is to take over the BBC Radio 6 Music Breakfast permanently from next month with Lauren Laverne moving to mornings 10am - 1pm. Mary Anne Hobbs will be taking a sabbatical and return later in spring with a new show https://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/2025/radi...ytime-schedule/ Edited January 9Jan 9 by gavindeejay
January 9Jan 9 Author That's big for Nick getting another breakfast show. He's been largely the sole cover for Lauren whilst she's been off so he's done enough to impress and land that slot. I can't say I've listened to him since he left Radio 1 but I enjoy his podcast with Annie Mac Edited January 9Jan 9 by lewistgreen
January 28Jan 28 Big Weekend is in Liverpool this year - first names revealed: Blossoms Lola Young Myles Smith Sam Fender (headliner) Wet Leg
January 28Jan 28 I would love to go, hotels in Liverpool will be extortionate though, would love to win on Jan Slam tomorrow lol
January 28Jan 28 Strong line up so far, they're going for the 3 day again and interesting all the acts so far are British. Wonder if there might be one big American act though. I imagine the Sam Fender day will be insanely popular - will wait and see for the other headliners though and the undercards. Only issue with Liverpool is the transport there is rubbish from outside Merseyrail and if Liverpool win the league, that Sunday/Monday is going to be absolutely carnage in the city.
January 28Jan 28 🤣🤣🤣 true about the football! Thought they woulda gone with Newcastle this year due to Sam being huge!
January 28Jan 28 Thought they woulda gone with Newcastle this year due to Sam being huge! Haha I wish!!
January 29Jan 29 Thought it would be in Bradford as they never missed a City Of Culture year, could be possibly that Radio 2's version will be there instead.
March 10Mar 10 Tom Grennan is headlining Friday of Big Weekend - feels like a very weak choice compared to previous years. Also on that day are Biffy Clyro, James Hype & The Wombats (main stage), Confidence Man, Barry Can't Swim, D.O.D., Jazzy, Katy B, Nia Archives & Prospa ("New Music" stage).
March 10Mar 10 At least it seems Radio 1 will likely support Biffy Clyro's new music at their average age of 44.333333... - there should be a new album this year.
March 10Mar 10 Imagine having Tom Grennan headlline over Biffy Clyro, luckily lovs both artists so im happy but still an odd cboice
March 10Mar 10 Crawlers & Fat Dog both feel pretty big for the BBC Introducing stage in amongst loads of much smaller artists.

March 10Mar 10 Tom Grennan headlining makes it even odder that they decided to snub ‘Shadowboxing!’ I thought that he was going to start to struggle to get R1 support from now on but obviously I’m wrong!
