I guess we need to see the difference between 40 and 45.

Can a 59p Confidence Man Extended Mix on her webstore sell enough? probably not?

Do they release all phyiscals tomorrow and put some sales through for this week and send the rest out on Friday for next week?

well 3 x physicals on Friday. Could do 2k in UK each. Thats 6k to start the week. 59p download get it noticed high on charts. Bit of extra streaming and thats nearly 10-11k again in week 2

Wednesday 2nd Chart Update (UK)

46(NEW) LCA

Sales: 5,659

Yesterday: 494 (No100) - worst selling single in yesterdays top 100.

Digital: 2265

Streams: 3394

Aud Strm Prem: 315222

Aud Strm Adf: 16157

Vid Strm: 84939

It makes sense to have the the physical in album release week as this will include higher streaming and radio will have kicked in.

Hopefully those 5,659 sales already in the bag along with the few more it will get will be enough to keep it Top 100 on Friday.

It won't fall from #46 to out of the top 100, especially as the drops haven't even been that steep. It'll be like #52 or something.

Yep avoid the physicals this week. Still think it could so something from Friday if all 3 released same week

Otherwise stick them out release week and put in a bundle with a Deluxe Tension

The premium streams are good. They are from apple mainly lol

If there are physical singles ready and waiting to be unleashed, I'd have gone with a "throw literally everything at week 1" tactic and just see what the outcome of that was. I don't think there's really a better time to have attracted physical single sales than this week, what with her store having the tour pre-sale access - that would have resulted in more visits to her store than normal.

This was said in another topic but otherwise the only other good week to release physicals in in album release week. No point doing it on 4th or 11th imo.

It was incredibly stupid of them not to co-ordinate the physicals with the release week. I mean, it took how long to get a Padam vinyl, so it’s kind of expected. They saw how well it worked for Tension (miraculously getting a #19 peak rather than the usual few weeks spread out in the 50s) and decided never to do that again

I agree, this was the week to have the physicals out, seeing that its not, album release is the best of the choices left.

Video at 866K plays now. Should comfortably hit 900K soon and 1M by Friday!

BMG are not a singles label so I think they are testing what works tbh - Padam was a surprise hit so a drawn out physical release, Tension they threw the physicals out in week 1 now with LCA they’ve gone with the video and remixes for week 1.

Agree the physicals should have gone out this week but they likely thought promo / 4 x remixes / video and tour announcement would have been enough?

Yep. BMG are still testing each release with new tactics.

They have albums to sell, tour tickets to see, brand Kylie etc.

They released physicals with My Oh My straight away and they got only to 63

This time they released remixes early and will probably get a similar chart position

Edge Of Saturday has a 1159 limited edition vinyl, playing long game with remixes etc and thats another strategy for club songs

She basically said this album is to help sell the tour etc and it was only supposed to be a little extra reissue that has now turned into an album so it was probably due to come out i August and they pushed it all back to coincide with tour announcement.

Do they know how supportive streaming giants will be? Do they have to wait sometimes for those NMF and initial playlists before changing strategies etc? Who knows!

I think we may actually get another remix or something tomorrow with a bigger remixer? but lets see
