I do think there was little to no buzz around it, it's a good song, but there didn't seem to be much build up or anticipation like there was with Angel

Yes, I think the tragedy has played a bigger part than expected: not just the fact the songs are everywhere but it’s meant Jade has been very quiet with teasing/ hyping.

I have no want to re-watch the video, I wish it was good.

 

I appreciate some people enjoy it and that is fine, but it was pretty boring to me.

I know they probably delayed because of Liam; but the video would have helped way more to be ready in the morning too.

Liam’s death plays minimal significance here. The song missed the top 200. Jade posting some links on her socials wasn’t going to save it.

That’ll be down to it getting a pretty high placing on Apple’s Today’s Hits.

Hopefully it gets added to Hot Hits UK on Monday to help it a bit.

well there is still a chance i mean the song can still be stable for a while which would be good in the long term besides there is even a chance to rise again if it would get the promo it deserves (radio, live performances...) so its not bad bad but tbh nobody expected it outdoing aomd so we just need more time i guess

#77 on Apple Music now, it’s the 5th highest solo effort peak on Apple Music now, overtaking ‘you go your way’. Angel, Boys, Forget About Us and Your Love peaked higher. The next one to out peak would be ‘your love’ at #60.

For some reason I don’t think it’s over for this tbh. But we’ll see. Also I do think it’s fair to assume Liam’s death played some sort of role as it definitely hindered some pre-release buzz she was probably going to help with (like teasing the video) as well as them tapping into a v similar core fanbase/audience (not saying it definitely did or didn’t, just that it’s not impossible)

 

Well, we’ll see what happens in a couple of weeks. I am sad it didn’t make top 200 though :(
