So I’ve listened to this a few times now and like with her first single, I just cannot understand what she is singing!?!? Granted I am deaf but even with the lyrics in front of my I can’t follow her voice, I either can’t hear it or her pronunciation isn’t clear enough. A bit gutted as I want to be a huge fan of her, I think she is amazing but she just isn’t doing it for me 😔

I’m obsessed with this but I kinda see why it’s not blowing up like AOMD it’s quite cutesy pop rather than a total banger punch to the face bop.

 

I can’t wait for the album though! When you listen to AOMD, Fantasy and Midnight cowboy they seamlessly blend!

The main reason i wanted this to do well is that it seems like an album announcement is imminent. From her confirming the artwork has been shot to her teasing multiple tracks from it etc. I just hope this not doing well (granted it doesn’t pick up ofc) doesn’t make her team panic and “delay” the album.

Yeah I don’t care ablut her chart positions I just want a full album of hers.

Not top 200 is a big disappointment ngl, why the hell isn't it added to Hot Hits? :( That said, the song is a total bop and gets better with more listens so it's 3/3 for me. :wub: I hope the album announcement and pre-order will come soon and isn't totally dependent on how well this single does. The songs are all killer so far so I'm sure she could get buzz and critical acclaim from the off!

I'm still not sure it's over for this song as instantly as it was for, say, 'Tears'... for some reason (yes I'm probably delulu AND WHAT???? :P)

 

Also, I said this sometime before AOMD was released, I don't think her getting an album is as reliable on singles success as it would be for Perrie and/or Leigh. JADE's album is pretty much the only one I can see happening with certainty no matter what at this point (and by "happening" I mean within her first 6-9 months or so of releasing solo material).

 

I assume that's largely down to believing that she really has finished it/doing final touches etc.. :lol: (or pure biasedness... WHO KNOWS!!!!! LEAVE ME ALONE )

I agree on this there is no way that fantasy gets overlooked like that lets see the coming days with hopefully more promo (i'll be delulu with u 😊)

I’m one of many that didn’t know what she was saying in Fantasy.

I’m hoping with the release of the physicals and it’s Apple performance, we should hopefully still be looking at top 20 or at worst top 30, surely? I really hope so.

 

I think sadly “buzz” tracks don’t mean anything for the British public, having two songs out in three weeks definitely doesn’t make people focus on just one. Plus Angel definitely got a lot of “first solo single” interest and grew into a massive hit by being so arresting. This doesn’t have either of those things… it’s a lovely song but doesn’t make you pay attention.

 

As cute as ‘Fantasy’ is, Jessie Ware hasn’t had a big crossover hit with this style, so I’m surprised they ever thought this would be the song to keep the hit momentum going.

 

Let’s just hope for a decent first week showing.
