QUESTION TWELVE

A nation who made their BJSC debut in 2024

The first nation to have been answered for this question, and receiving the least amount of answers is...

Hinterlandia

They made their debut in BJSC 166 and have enjoyed three contests so far.

This debutant was answered by one nation only, and that was Summericia, so unfortunately no more points for you in this quiz.

Next we will reveal the nation receiving the next largest amount of votes...

QUESTION TWELVE

A nation who made their BJSC debut in 2024

Following Hinterlandia, the next nation to receive the most answers is;

Macromia

They are the most recent debutant, and made their debut in BJSC 168 and have stated their intention to return in the next contest.

Three participants gave this nation as their answer for this question, and they were Dobago, Eastovka and Séyetana. Two points to each of you for this.

Who is next I wonder...

QUESTION TWELVE

A nation who made their BJSC debut in 2024

Also debuting in 2024 and receiving answers from this question is...

Cheiron

They debuted enthusiastically in BJSC 165 and continue to sent their favourite slice of pop to the contest each time.

Another three participants gave this nation as their answer for this question, and they were Aeroche, Cheiron and Taahino. Another two points to each of you for this.

If you are keeping count, this means Taahino are now in the lead.

QUESTION TWELVE

A nation who made their BJSC debut in 2024

The first nation who made their debut in 2024 and received answers is...

Herbilore

The first we heard of Herbilore was in BJSC 162, and they have entered every contest since. Their track record for qualification is a little disappointing though but if they keep persisting I know they will find their niche!

Once again, it was three participants who gave this nation as their answer for this question, and they were Bronzil, Jadakissnia and Sovarasma. That's two points each to your total so far.

That means Jadakissnia is now joint at the top with Taahino, with one more nation set to be revealed. :o

What is about to happen next...
Herbilore the most ROBBED debutant this year istg :(
Either the other 3 voted for Mothertopia, in which case FSR Rontvia has won, or some of them got it wrong, in which case there's a tie at the top

QUESTION TWELVE

A nation who made their BJSC debut in 2024

The last nation (so far) to have made their debut in 2024, and receiving answers is...

Mothertopia

This elegantly named nation made their debit in BJSC 163, qualifying four times in the year, and reaching a peak of 2nd place in BJSC 167. They have certainly shown the most potential and that is why they were answered.

So, bearing in mind, the previous three answers; Cheiron, Herbilore and Macromia, all received three answers each, meaning each quiz participant were awarded two points.

Mothertopia was also answered by three participants who gave this nation as their answer for this question, and they were FSR Rontvia, Kyriatine and Zanmatony.

Each of these participants receives two points for their answer.

Can you see what this means...
herbilore gives strong flynnonda energy, i'm sure if we can get harry to return then they'll help each other out with growing their corner of bjsc

congrats Rich and thanks Wardy for putting up all the questions!

Amazing! Thank you Wardy for hosting and Uhsting for being the successful subject of several of my answers.
and yes thank you for hosting Wardy, it was a nice little change! More BJSC themes quizzes/games could be fun to have here
I think me and Jade are destined to tie second together forever now

omg yes :lol:

congrats on the win Rich and thanks for hosting Wardy, was good fun :cheer:

A close finish indeed - well done Rich!

That was a fun quiz without many landslides, I think I ended up on the wrong end of the biggest one so I'm fine with mid-table. Thanks for hosting it Wardy!

Ah yes, I must have just copied over the contest number format from another answer given.

Anyway...

Congrats to FSR Rontvia for not being a bridesmaid! :lol:

This was a fun little quiz to do off the cuff and perhaps I could have picked some better questions but I tried to vary it and give everyone little challenges to find information across the BJSC forum, and many were able to avoid wrong answers.

Hope to be able to participate in another quiz like this one day if someone is kind enough to host one.

I know Fat Dog had a lot of 18s and may have connected with the majority, but I wasn't sure if they actually had votes from over half the participants in that final - though if you discount non-voters then they did.

Yes it is odd to see Fat Dog as the top answer there because that's very much a case of a winner that just connected a lot with its target audience rather than being an especially wide appealing winner. It's quite rare for winners to not get points from at least half of participants - 140/168 winners have reached that mark (not including the winning country themselves and non-voters), 'King Of The Slugs' only ranks =130th among all winners. Although surprisingly it is slightly ahead of Sovarasma's other winner which also only just passed the 50% of voters mark!

Here's the top 10 and bottom 10 #funstats (notably Aeroche have both first and last place, the range!)

01 78.85% NINA - Automatic Call (feat. LAU) {Aeroche CXXI}

02 77.42% Sheelah - The Last Time {FSR Rontvia XXXI}

=03 76.19% t.A.T.u. - Gomenasai {Elëdan V}

=03 76.19% V V Brown - Shark In The Water {Mdiče XVI}

05 75.86% Salt Ashes - Save It {FARC LXXXIV}

06 75.47% White Lies - Tokyo {FARC CXI}

07 74.60% Stockholm Noir - Boy Like A Girl (feat. Ofelia) {FARC CXXXV}

08 73.68% Sara Bareilles - Love Song {FSR Rontvia IV}

09 73.47% Eva Simons - Silly Boy {Kathaldazia XIX}

10 71.05% Marina And The Diamonds - Hollywood {Quotosibb XXIII}

...

159 46.67% Worakls and Rusanda Panfili - Storm {Danæviia CXXXI}

160 46.51% Emma Hewitt - Colours {Bøtanikkä XLII}

161 45.45% Lana Del Rey - Video Games {Isconia XXXVI}

162 45.00% Honey. - What Now {Lookylion CXLVIII}

=163 44.83% Drab Majesty - Ellipsis {Aeroche CXVI}

=163 44.83% Michael Woods - In Your Arms (feat. Lauren Dyson) {Jamvale LXVIII}

165 44.68% RuPaul - Sissy That Walk {Elëdan LXIII}

166 43.86% Margaret Berger - Karma Is A {Bøtanikkä CLXIV}

167 41.51% Hervé and Zebra Katz - Tear The House Up {N DNTN LXV}

168 38.46% Trentemøller - Moan (feat. Ane Trolle) {Aeroche XLVI}

So Jade and Leww had the best answers there by that metric, picking 2 of the 3 super wide appealing FARC winners. Of the others that were named, Smith & Thell are 11th, Confidence Man 29th, Snow Strippers =50th, PVRIS 84th, Active Child =116th and Nicolina 150th :magic:
