"Die With A Smile" is expected to be the second-biggest song of the 2020s decade by the end of 2025.

#24 (+3) in its 34th week in the chart. The longevity! It is only 3 more weeks away from being Gaga's longest-running top 40 hit! It is currently held by "Poker Face", which did 34 weeks in the top 4

Another confirmation that DWAS will be on LG7 too

Might have a chance at UK #1 that week

Yay, nice to have it officially confirmed! :cheer:

It still completely blows my mind BR wasn't a US #1 every time I read it!

Absurd indeed, Bad Romance is bigger than careers.

She should have 7 #1 hits in the US like she does now in Canada (where Bad Romance was #1), as DWAS hits #1 there this week.

What stopped Bad Romance from hitting #1? Was it a multi-week #2 in the USA? I was gobsmacked when I found out it just missed the top spot.

It was blocked by both 'Empire State of Mind' and 'Tik Tok'! The former spent 5 weeks at #1 and the latter 9 weeks. I started following the Billboard Hot 100 closely in 2009 (via the BillboardGoddess YouTube channel for the top 50 and PenaltyKillah for 51-100, major throwbacks there *_*) as a big Gaga fan, so these memories are still burned into my brain

Bad Romance got stuck at #2 for 7 weeks, being held back by Empire State of Mind and TikTok, two othet diamond singles... It was a big dog fight. A remix would have taken Bad Romance to #1, but her label dropped the ball.
It was just unfortunate that Bad Romance (my favourite song ever by anyone ever released), was up against mammoth hits. Arguably Bad Romance is bigger than Empire State of Mind (which I hated so it blocking BR made me even loathe it more), but Tik Tok was a massive worldwide hit too so that I can understand.
This has got me thinking, how close was it on the closest week?

(If that kind of information is available)

I did it years ago

Yeah, ESOM does my head in and I've never liked it so I'm a bit aggrieved by that too <_<

At least we in the UK didn't let such a thing happen.
