I remember listening to Lana Del Rey - 'Video Games' before she went properly viral, and same with Lorde - 'Royals'. To a lesser extent, Kacey Musgraves, Lizzo and Sophie and the Giants (sent the latter to BJSC before they became regular Multichart darlings), and more recently Teddy Swims, who I've liked since 2020 or 2021!

 

Happy to count Chappell Roan too but that's entirely due to BJSC, otherwise I'm sure I wouldn't have known her until this year.

With her Tyler the creator feature in the top 40 and messy going viral I have to now mention Lola Young, I’ve been following her and being a fan since I saw her opening for Dermot Kennedy back in 2021!

I stumbled across ‘So High’ by Doja Cat back in 2015 while potential-hunting for BJSC, years before she got viral attention or any hits.
