Official Charts Report

Gracie Abrams could make it a straight month at Number 1 in the UK – That’s So True leads the charge to top the Official Singles Chart once again.

WHAM! and Mariah Carey are both set to re-enter the Top 10 this Friday, as Christmas season officially beings on the Official Chart! Last Christmas is expected to jump up 12 to Number 4, while All I Want For Christmas Is You could bounce eight to Number 9.

And there’s a lot more Christmas magic where that came from! Tom Grennan’s It Can’t Be Christmas could enter the Top 20 for the first time (19).

We're still a few weeks away from the Official kick-off date for the year's biggest Number 1 race - the UK's Official Christmas Number 1 single - and you can catch up with all the acts we've pegged as contenders here.

Following the surprise drop of his sixth album gnx, Kendrick Lamar could see three of the LPs tracks hit the Top 20; Wacced Out Murals (6), Squabbled Up (7) and Luther (13).

Are you ready to get Wicked? The musical adaption of the best-selling theatre show is finally in cinemas – its signature song Defying Gravity with stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande is set to debut at Number 12, while Grande’s Popular could debut at Number 22.

Outside the Top 20, there are a lot of festive tracks present in the Top 40 mid-week; Brenda Lee’s Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree (21), Bobby Helms’ Jingle Bell Rock (25), Ariana Grande’s Santa Tell Me (29), The Pogues ft. Kirsty MacColl’s Fairytale of New York (31), Laufey’s Christmas Magic (33), Shakin’ Stevens’ Merry Christmas Everybody and Andy Williams’s It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year (38).

Joseph Boone please stop streaming beeson Boone get like gone off milk that song

I beg to differ, sounding very fresh to me still *.* particularly after his London show in the week and a fantastic Graham Norton performance on Friday!

Had no idea what this song was at first and Shazam failed me... thankfully I could recognise Tom Grennan's voice in the end

Christmas songs expected today?
Can't say I see this contending for Christmas number 1, doesn't have the "bigness" of Sam Ryders last year
