December 22, 2024Dec 22 I actually gave HIT ME HARD AND SOFT a listen when it came out after not really enjoying anything from the Happier Than Ever era (and skipping the album), it's got some great songs and BIRDS OF A FEATHER is absolutely one of Billie's best!

January 4Jan 4 was cool to have a new Billy Joel song after so long although it didn't end up getting much replay value for me and I certainly get why he tends to just accept his status as a legacy artist I Adore U was a lite bop, hung around outside my top 40 for a while albeit the Ellie Goulding remix didn't make it any better for me

That’s a fair take! It was definitely surprising to get something new from Billy Joel after so long, even if it didn’t stick for you. I agree that he’s earned the right to just enjoy his legacy status—his catalog speaks for itself. As for "I Adore U," I actually like the J Balvin & Ellie remix more than the original, even if the original has gotten a bit overplayed for me.
