The JADE video on Instagram’s official account which uses FUFN now has 101 million views!

I've just seen the above comment. I thought the video for FUFN was filmed ages ago? I hope she's teasing if it doesn't come out on release that would just be typical given the physicals are all shipping on release.

I think she's just traumatised at the thought of it not coming on that day, i'm pretty sure it will.

Yeah that’s how I read it, like a “it better be”.

Am I delusional to think we should be expecting this one to debut top 40 right?

It just feels like the timing is right - hype after The BRITS win and performance, much more commercial sounding big pop song, physicals alongside on release week and hopefully they have music video ready to go for release day. That, all along with the fact the singles chart sales is a lower threshold than for a while.

I don't want to get my hopes up too much, and we know that chart placement doesn't mean quality, but she deserves a second charting single this time!

Actually the threshold for top 40 now is the same as Fantasy week (~11k).

But yes it would be disappointing if this didn’t debut top 40.

Yeah as usual nowadays it's all down to playlisting. Her label really need to get it on the KEY playlists (Hot Hits UK and Today's Top Hits being the main ones) IMMEDIATELY! Not low, either.

New Music Friday barely impacts anymore tbh. So as good as being top 3 on there would be, it's not essential and doesn't always work.

EDIT: Oh and unless it really starts taking off in the States and on Tik Tok, I'd probably rule out a Today's Top Hits placing.

Looks like both Chappell and now Calvin Harris are releasing songs on Friday....... (funnily enough both with Country sounding songs - presumably Calvin's will be more 'Wake Me Up' by Avicii Country vibes than outright Country)

I do hope that JADE surprises an out performs tbh.

Hopefully she does debut top 40 this time, physicals are ready to go (it girl didn't have but was close to top 40 as a promo track) she super active on socials (fantasy didn't have) and surely hype from Brits etc might draw attention

Edit: after listening to it multiple times already its defo gonna be my song of the year. The song sounds more polished now compared to the leak where it had kinda unfinished sounding parts this ones feels fuller now. A freaking BANGER if this wont take off then ppl are just tasteless idk 🙏
