And random.ord didn't put No.3 - No.3 third, so I just had to do it myself :kink:
Haha, I've been wondering if you'd put it third ever since you shared the list :D

What’s 1997 without Celine Dion? :o

Oooh there are some artists I've not heard of! This will be fun
Interesting list of songs, some I know well, others I've never heard of at all, even the artists. Looking forward to listening to these!

Two of the participants have requested their songs to be updated with different versions on Spotify:

Funky Green Dogs - Fired Up! (Club 69 Edit) and Delerium - Remembrance (Single Edit)

I've asked Dan and I am positive he will update them once he sees my PM.

Thank you.

Done my first listen though and wow I’m glad there was some pop towards the end (up to that point it was experimental/instrumental and indie)

There’s a song in there from a recent-ish movie I love and it made me want to cry!

I can host a listenthrough on Monday evening (the 23rd). I'm guessing more people will be around before Christmas than if it was hosted between Christmas and New Year.
we may be two months removed from October but halloWEEN is celebrated all year round :deadbanana:

Quite a bunch there I'm familiar with but thankfully fair few I'm not.

I'm surprised Placebo got in though. Not only was it originally from '95, although admittedly re-recorded, but it was a bigger hit than Paula Cole's

That said I'm not complaining as it's my favourite of theirs.

Placebo and Depeche Mode were the most borderline but we felt they were just on the right side of the line... Whilst Bruise Pristine may have peaked one place higher in week one, it definitely wasn't a bigger hit than the Paula Cole song as the latter stuck around for 6 weeks and made the extended end of year sales chart.
Ah fair enough. Probably just the circles I moved in then. I remember Paula Cole as a song I'd occasionally hear on the radio but the Placebo one was played a lot on evening radio, tv and the pubs/clubs I went to
Got my votes in early as can’t promise I’ll find time later. A very mixed bag but still managed a solid top 10. :P
