Posted December 30, 2024Dec 30 Girlies, since we started this BuntonMegaRate a couple of months back, Emma BabyBunton Flawless Spice Iconic Popstar has made TWO massive moves that have changed the landscape of Spiceworld! First, BabyBunton Flawless Spice has finally, after years of literal begging from fans worldwide, launched her Free Me and Life in Mono albums on streaming platforms worldwide. It caused a small buzz online from popfans and her iconic Maybe has finally reached 2million streams on Spotify as a consequence! I believe that Free Me and Life in Mono have really stood the test of time and the results of the Rate so far have only added to this! I mean, album tracks and singles from those two albums fill the Top20! Secondly, BabyBunton Flawless Spice has also launched a surprise rendition of 2 Become 1 as a end-of-the-year gift to her fans. Recorded with the Budapest Orchestra, the song was launched to coincide with Emma's performance at the Strictly Come Dancing final. December 30, 2024Dec 30 Stunning vocal. Incredible orchestra. Definitely the best solo version. But I do find the production a tad bare for my tastes. I really miss the deeper harmony of “Wanna make love to ya baby”. I reckon a double bass could’ve played that bit. Anyway that’s why I’m giving it a 7. Edited December 30, 2024Dec 30 by McAndrew

It's nice enough, she sounds gorgeous but it's not a patch on the original music wise or even vocal wise, the harmonies on the chorus are missed and nobody matches Mel B's "set your spirit freeeeeee, it's the only way to beeee" which is just gorgeous!

I think the girls are actually so very underrated vocally as a group! They have gorgeous harmony and really know how to complement one another, none of them sound as good on their own as they do together... and yes I include my beloved Miss C in that too. :lol:
