Posted January 1Jan 1 New thread for a New Year, let's see where things are at the moment in terms of Heart's most played which forms their current high rotation playlist Benson Boone - Beautiful Things Dasha - Austin (Boots Stop Workin') Hozier - Too Sweet Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars - Die With A Smile Myles Smith - Stargazing Noah Kahan - Stick Season Post Malone feat. Morgan Wallen - I Had Some Help Shaboozey - A Bar Song (Tipsy) Teddy Swims - Lose Control Teddy Swims - The Door Here's to hoping some much needed freshness comes sooner rather than later. Something like APT. would be very much at home here. Edited January 1Jan 1 by lewistgreen
January 1Jan 1 I just need beautiful things, a bar song and lose control to be gone. The others I don’t mind as much but those I am totally and utterly sick of hearing on the daily cos the coffee shop I work at plays heart and yes I agree it needs some freshening. I’m surprised they haven’t added APT as it was a #1 single on their big top 40, could probably add that’s so true as well!
January 1Jan 1 I’m also shocked they never play listed birds of a feather and completely snubbed Chappell, both feel like things they would suit the heart playlists, especially good luck babe or red wine supernova!
January 1Jan 1 I don't get how anyone can have this station as their top choice. Is their selection of old songs really that broad?
January 1Jan 1 Author They have a good selection of contemporary classics which are played less frequently so it keeps things kind of fresh from that perspective. Yes you might hear Beautiful Things multiple times in one day, like you would anything on the A List of any other station, but there's a balance with other tracks being there too. If you're a longtime listener though even the classics are repeated so it then comes across as stale. A lot can be said for the repetitive nature of any station and as an Adult Contemporary station Heart directly challenges Radio 2 and is currently the third most popular station in the country so they're doing something right!
January 1Jan 1 . If you're a longtime listener though even the classics are repeated so it then comes across as stale. That's probably my problem then. The amount of times I've heard them play "Runnin" and "Turn Around" has put me off those songs
January 2Jan 2 Author I’m also shocked they never play listed birds of a feather and completely snubbed Chappell, both feel like things they would suit the heart playlists, especially good luck babe or red wine supernova! I'm holding out hope for a late Chappell add but I don't think they've ever played Billie have they?
January 2Jan 2 I don’t think they have, but it sounds like the sort of song they would play! It’s her most radio friendly hit ever I think so I just felt like it belonged on their playlist!
March 6Mar 6 Author Teddy Swims - Bad Dreams now on the list.Teddy is now being played anywhere up to 15 times in a 24 hour period as all 3 tracks are on rotation!
March 6Mar 6 Jeez that's a lot of Teddy 😐 you'd think they'd have the sense to only playlist one song per artist concurrently!
March 7Mar 7 Having to listen to this station at work daily is actually hell lol. Why on Earth are they playing Teddy Swims that much alongside all the 1 year old songs that are already done to death? Is it any wonder we're getting fewer entries into the top 40 when one of the biggest radios won't play anything other than Benson Boone, Teddy Swims and Boots Stop Workin?
April 5Apr 5 Quelle surprise! I really like the song for now but I know it's going to end up suffering from overplay...
April 6Apr 6 I know there was a short time where they were playing Katy Perry & Doechii - I’m His, He’s Mine but that was over quite quickly.
