Saw a TV ad for Heart earlier that said "Alexa play Heart FM" which of course resulted in an unsolicited Alexa activation, bit cheeky lol

Yes that's true though even the decades stations are very stale and somewhat more so than the main station. After a couple of days of 00s or 80s you've heard it all. It's a big deal for the brand to be the biggest in the UK and they're clearly doing something right but it's still a gripe that their playlists lack variety. (Yes Lewis we know change the record 😂)

I totally agree with you on that Lewis. I tend to tune in now and then to the decades stations and even then I don't find myself listening too long. The brand is aiming to bring you a mix of familiar well known tracks, mainly targeted to females aged 25-44.

Whilst it does seem illogical not to be playing certain tracks, I expect it's because they test every record they play with a panel, to ensure that their target audience likes it and wouldn't change channel if it came on. If it doesn't hit a certain percentage, it doesn't get playlisted. That's probably why stuff can get added really late. At some point the panel has had a chance to get know the song or artist from elsewhere, and it finally gets the magic number to get on.

i believe they've removed too sweet, haven't heard it in a while! if only they'd do the same to beautiful things, i am still tortured multiple times a day at work with it

And replace it with either Slow It Down, Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else or Mystical Magical.

^ yeah slow it down or sorry I’m here would be a nice change. I’m not a fan of mystical magical but honestly I’ll take anything over beautiful things 😭

Omg cheeseblockI’m so here for this, even though it’d literally been a year since the song first came out 😭😭 so happy with this. Hope they spam this one, I still haven’t got bored of it

Following the opening post of this thread I thought I'd check up on what would be the current playlist if Heart actually posted one on their site. At least Lose Control is gone! Apt. appeared to just come and go though without much of a fanfare which is a shame.

Alex Warren - Carry You Home

Alex Warren - Ordinary

Benson Boone - Beautiful Things

Chappell Roan - Pink Pony Club

Ed Sheeran - Azizam

Lola Young - Messy

Myles Smith - Nice To Meet You

Myles Smith - Stargazing

Post Malone feat. Morgan Wallen - I Had Some Help

Shaboozey - A Bar Song (Tipsy)

Teddy Swims - Bad Dreams

Teddy Swims - The Door

I'm surprised Heart hasn't playlisted Sapphire yet.

I often wonder if people at Heart legitimately don't know these songs exist until many months down the line.

Well my manager was shocked when I told her messy came out last May and went to number 1 back in January 🤣🤣 she thought it was a new song! Though tbf she is one of those people who really doesn’t listen to music apart from what’s on the radio!

Also surprised they haven’t playlisted Survive.

We've had nothing new since Messy which was weeks ago. Survive is RIGHT THERE and feels like something they would've snapped up instantly considering previous support for Lewis. Whilst Sapphire would also be a choice I fear they won't risk playing it due to the way it sounds though that's just my opinion 🤐

Survive is number 1 on their chart show and Sapphire was a few weeks back.

That's just because they simulcast The Big Top 40 on Heart but that chart is made up of iTunes downloads, Apple Music streams and airplay across Capital and Heart
