May 2May 2 I sort of feel like if you aren’t doing at least 10k you don’t deserve Top 40 and if you’re doing less than 40k you don’t deserve #1, and it’s not like the thresholds are that high at the moment. In other words it’s the stagnant market that’s the issue rather than ACR not churning the songs quickly enough. “Ordinary” not going to ACR and staying at #1 feels fair really when it’s doing nearly double everything else.

May 9May 9 If 'Anxiety' and (one can hope) 'Beautiful Things' did indeed decline last week, they'll both be on DCL-3 now too...?I'd expect much of that DCL-1 list to dodge next week, with it not having a Bank Holiday like this week.
May 9May 9 Sports Car being gone opens up the top 10 as Anxiety will probably drop out either way and maybe even Beautiful things. Probably the other sombr song has a good chance
May 9May 9 There’s also a lot of warm weather coming this week, so I would expect most things to have an increase anyway
May 9May 9 It’s so frustrating to see some of the fresher hits starting to decline now but the ancient ones that hog the top 10 seem to always dodge. Imagine how good the upper end of the chart would look if the likes of beautiful things, nice to meet you, bad dreams, busy woman, and even ordinary had gone to ACR a while ago when it felt it was due

I mean, thats a huge development
May 10May 10 You're probably right. Had it been counted on combined sales, it would have done enough: 27,592 -> 25,976 (-5.86%; market -5.63%) -> 25,953 (-0.09% or -23 sales; market +8.01%) -> 25,286 (-2.57%; market -2.01%) - however that middle decline of 23 sales was probably offset by its fall of 18-23 on the Sales chart, meaning since being reset it has now escaped at least twice with a tiny streaming increase when there was a much bigger jump in the market.

May 16May 16 'Show Me Love' potentially going to ACR before the 5 other songs in the Top 10 I mentioned in the Sales thread is bonkers.
May 16May 16 Author people will still be streaming beautiful things until the heat death of the universe clearlywe've got another bank holiday at the end of the month so another bumper sales week following that to look forward to
May 16May 16 Same with carry you home 2025 been so boring old songs avoid acr from 2024 one 2025 one go acr first official charts is officially broken
