Thought I would make a thread on this subject seeing as it is now a core feature of BuzzJack going forward. I hope some will find it helpful information.

For those not aware, a stream is your regular feed of new information and new content that other members have contributed anywhere on BuzzJack since your last visit.

It seems you can view your feed from the file icon at the top of the screen, or by going here https://www.buzzjack.com/discover/9/

Clicking on the options allows you to create a new stream, and have as many as you wish, and then go to the blue "show filters" button on the right to customise what you want your stream to display.

It seems you can customise your stream to include only what interests you and filter out forums that don't interest you, including any artist clubs you don't wish to follow. You can also choose to disregard guests posts and specific members too I believe. As well as this you can set your feed to only show you threads that you have personally contributed in so far, meaning you don't have to trail through long lists of threads that you aren't interested in reading.

It is a really neat feature and will surely need some time to perfect to what each member wants their feed to display, but it's brilliant to have such customisation available for everyone!

My stream is no longer pulling in new content, it just shows no new results each time I load it, but there have been new posts since my last visit... 🤔

I know you are looking into it, but streams don't seem to be working properly, as I tried making some new streams to replace the old ones (in case the link was dodgy) and now I cannot locate the new streams I have made. They should be visible from this menu option below when selecting "My Activity Streams" but nothing displays, despite an arrow to the right suggesting a dropdown menu.

Edit: Seems to just be an issue on desktop as I tried on my phone afterwards and seemed to be able to find the new streams I created via the same process as above.

Seems to be since midnight that it became an issue as yesterday's posts still show in the 'All Activity' feed.

Do we know if this is a Invision-wide bug or something that we can fix on our forum? @Iz 🌟

Just wondering as it's is affecting most users perhaps.

I don't normally use this feature so if I've got the wrong thing please direct me but from taking a quick look I think it may be to do with the Filters defaulting to 'last visit'. Only your last visit is badly defined as the last time you clicked anywhere else on the forum.

I changed the filters to 'Last 365 Days' (or any 'Last X Days') and it shows content. Though something may be up, as 'Last 1 Day' doesn't seem to show anything either - probably some caching issue and an off by one error that means it doesn't archive posts until they're a day old. Which I appreciate limits its usefulness.

It's still only showing me reactions in all activity and there are no activity entries for any posts at all.

Sadly not @awardinary , been having to scour the site the old fashioned way.

That's right, I deleted my custom stream and made another, but it only shows read posts up to a day ago when it seemingly stopped updating for me and Frenchie (and no doubt others too).

Here's what's displayed after removing any custom streams, it shows no activity despite the forum creating new posts every few minutes.

And as Frenchie points out a few posts earlier, the Activity Feed is only displaying reactions and follows, but not actual posts since midnight on Thursday;

Unsure if this is connected but the Sabrina Carpenter AF banner hasn't loaded for the last 2 days either!

Also not sure if this is anything related, but on mobile right now I just saw this at the bottom of the screen;

Maybe there's something in the backend of the website throwing some errors out that's slowing down performance as I've noted longer wait times for some links to load than usual.

I don't use the streams feature per se but I have just noticed that whatever this issue is is also affecting people's profiles (I guess the recent activity shown on there is using the same system, so at the moment it's not showing any of my posts since Thursday, only reactions). Though I can still see all recent posts by going into the posts section specifically.

This feed is how I primarily use the site so this is a nightmare for me 🤣

Same for me - like to see everything I haven't read in one place!

sorry guys, should be fixed. We were spammed by a multitude of bots all at the same time which filled up our log files and disk space. This meant the cache with shows the streams didnt work.
Deleted logs. Blocked spammers. Updated log rotation to avoid them getting too huge!
