Just paste the URL in full and don't alter it in any way. That should work. 🙂

I've tried that but it's just showing the URL and not the video?

should work if you paste in the URL and wait a second, the full URL not just the bit we used to have to cut out from it

yes you just paste the url, but sometimes you may have to add the format the picture is in, like .jpeg or .png

sorry didnt understand, can you give an example or expand on this

like for instance this page https://www.buzzjack.com/forums/topic/278187-%F0%9F%9F%A2-bjsc-172-%E2%80%A2-semifinais-%F0%9F%9F%A2/ isn't supposed to show youtube embeds but rather the YouTube URL. this page is also created before the migration so that explains why it suddenly looks so clunky. it will be good if posts made before the migration could be reverted back to url links if it's meant to be that way

The same applies to my 'Record Of The Week 60 Years Ago' thread which I started in 2021. Each week, I embedded the video for the song I chose to be record of the week but all the other new entries for that week just had the URL link. After the upgrade, all the old posts now have every link embedded so my one line reviews for each song are a bit lost in between the large pictures.

This has broken pretty much every single old BJSC voting thread but it is what it is, don't know if it'd even be possible to recover it to how it's meant to be now. At least the Wayback Machine still exists x

Yeah understand the frustration here. I’m big on formatting of posts and this is not ideal. It’s part of the migration process and due to the size of our posts table and the fact we had to run a few scripts to travel 14 years in one day some things didn’t turn out perfect. Even after many test runs.

I’m not giving up hope but realistically this will be 3 months out to review after a list of other improvements

Is there some kind of workaround with formatted posts or is this going to be "fixed" at some point? I have it set up in a text file so that I just had to copy the Irish charts and when I pasted them previously the formatting was done automatically. Now I get this....

That only works if you're copying from a previous post. There doesn't seem to be a way to copy over formatting from anywhere else (i.e. a Word/Notepad document or Excel spreadsheet).
