    Fair enough

Is the number 1 album basically irrelevant now when we getting more and more number 1 - out runs

Not for the artists- during their campaign last week the Lottery Winners explained in great depth how their first number one helped them expand massively and gain respect in the industry and how much a second number one would help them even more. So much publicity from a number one album no matter the longevity

The #41 and #42 more interesting that pretty much anything else going on in the chart!

UK TOP 100 4.4.25 #27

THE TOP TEN:

Drake hits 10 with 'Nokia' as Alex has a big sales boost with 'Carry You Home' at 9. Chappell keeps on losing as 'The Giver' slides to 8 as 'Busy Woman' is making up sales ground at 7. Tate McRae has a sharp decline with 'Sports Car'. Ariana Grande's deluxe album brings 'Twilight Zone' new at 5, and Benson has a small sales drop for 'Beautiful Things' as it's at 4. Doechii also has a sales drop with 'Anxiety at 3; just above her is 'Pink Pony Club', which actually has an +800 sales climb. And with over double the amount of sales as the number two spot and taking yet another huge sales climb on top of their already MAMMOTH lead is 'Ordinary' by Alex Warren, which has its third week in pole position!

NEW ENTRIES:

93. On & On – Sub Focus/Bbyclose (7.7/10)

I can't even deny that this got me moving, and I don't usually like this DnB music with a repeated hook and pounding bass, but this one was just one of the best I've heard from Sub Focus and Bbyclose; it's definitely a step up from their previous works.

92. Cold - Nemzzz (5.5/10)

This is British rap along with some jazz sounds at times. If we are going to hype any British rapper up, then I don't get why this guy – he's not horrible but just doesn't bring many new things to the table; he just piles more on top of what we've already got.

87. Hairdresser - Skye Newman (4/10)

Her vocals and style remind me of a mix of Jessie Murph and Lola Young; I just really can't understand the hype for these songs. The beat hits and the repeated melody are something, but just don't really add anything more to this; it's a bad debut and needs improvement.

83. Rushmere – Mumford and Sons (7/10)

Set to release a 10-track album, the rock-folk group creates a feel with "Rushmere". On one hand, it has the background that you can hear at the start of Northern Altitude by Noah Kahan, and on the other, it has a consistent guitar and drum background. This ticks all the boxes for me and feels complete.

78. Pick Your Poison – Killowen (5/10)

This is the first time and possibly the only time that I'll say that this is missing a British rapper; ideally Aitch, and yes, I did get that thought from a YouTube comment, but I side with that – this feels like it needs a more fiery and raw kick because this rap feels toned down, and the melody needs more of a bounce rather than feeling like it's a loop, which doesn't do much.

70. Shake It To The Max (Fly) – Moliy & Silent Addy (5/10)

It's two minutes of basic Afrobeat music that sounds like some of Libianca's lesser-known music; this brings out no emotion, nor does it captivate you in any moment – it's just a drumbeat with someone shouting "hey" looped, and that's honestly pretty disappointing.

55. Bluest Flame – Selena Gomez/Benny Blanco (6/10)

This reminds me of Charli XCX's brand of hyperpop with a new pitch tone and vocal changes – and it works, but not that well. I myself have never been a diehard fan of this type of hyperpop, but I must admit that Selena delivered this quickly and with a fun beat; I just wish there was more passion put into everything because it feels like a lot more could be done here!

42. Up From The Bottom – Linkin Park (8/10)

Linkin Park once again show they are still strong after returning 5 months after their album. Emily still has those roaring and fiery vocals! She was a great choice for the lead singer! Parts of the mixing give the 2000 classic DJ sound where they put their fingers on the record deck; the effect worked really well with the rock guitars, giving the booming effect that Linkin Park commonly gives! I'm looking forward to seeing what's next!

39. Dilemma – Nemzzz/Central Cee (6.8/10)

What I previously wrote:

Yeah… I'll give Central Cee this one; I wasn't expecting him to be good, but he actually gave me hope for this future music. His verses were quick and well delivered, even better than Nemzzz's part!

Added:

Both had a quick and smooth back and forth in bars, and the lyricism was up to scratch; I'll take it.

26. Intro (End of the World) – Ariana Grande (7.5/10)

19. Dandelion – Ariana Grande (7/10)

5. Twilight Zone – Ariana Grande (7/10)

We have finally got the deluxe version of Eternal Sunshine, and with that comes this song. It sounds like a mix of 'The Boy Is Mine' and 'We Can't Be Friends', but something that doesn't equal the value of either. I mean, it's not bad, but it's not great. It would've totally fit on Eternal Sunshine, though. And this song has the lyrical value and the emotional value; Ariana has always been one artist with a signature style, and she balances herself out, but she does it especially well on this, and she takes it more easy while still sounding radio-friendly. Good song!

It’s still good for finding out longevity albums though to show the biggest selling music overall, the sales are def increasing in that chart though with this week the top 5 well over 10k which wouldn’t have happened in 2020 say.

Just letting you know that you've incorrectly highlighted Close to You as being on ACR
