AM unfroze now and Ed is up to #50

Debuted at #32 on the UK Spotify chart.

Number 9 in the first set of midweeks, he will be massively disappointed with that.

I've only listened to this once.

It's good but I prefer Azizam. This is a bit "Ed by numbers".

With how things are going chart-wise this era, I think we need to stop expecting huge things. I would imagine Ed is starting to think the same way.

Tbf i don't think he will be massively bothered, for 1 he CD released asizam this week same as it's release,

if he was expecting big things we know he throws all the bells and whistles at promoting a song etc etc

It also doesn't feel like the "true" second single even with the playlistings

Yeah this feels like more a promo single. ‘Sapphire’ I think is going to be the next proper single

Huge push on streaming too. But it's not paying off, down to #175 on day 3 on Spotify.

It's definitely an official single, although they might try the old trick of downgrading it to a buzz single if it ends up really bombing.

I've got a feeling it was originally pushed as an official single and hence playlisted by R1, but subsequently downgraded to a promo single... I can't be sure though.

I've really warmed to 'Old Phone' now I've heard it a few more times. I think it's a lovely little song!

It's maybe worth noting that after Azizam being #1 on the Big Top 40 for several weeks, last week it was knocked off the top by Old Phone.

With the chart based on Apple streams, iTunes sales and air play, it shows where Ed is still strong and where his popularity has slipped (ie Spotify!)
