New single 'Find Xanadu'. It's... very synthy.

    1) I'm surprised she's doing a second solo album 2) I look forward to it 3) I'll end up disappointed if Tales of Us (2013) ends up as the last acoustic project Alison makes, her synthy work is good

I can agree with two and a half of these... number two is the one that I can only half agree with, her last album didn't really do anything for me so the prospect of another along a similar line doesn't fill me with great hope.

The debut Goldfrapp album remains by far my favourite, although the next two were good and very much worth the change in direction... but since then I've only really enjoyed the more laid back stuff, A&E remains stunning and I grew to like the Tales of Us album quite a lot.

Listening now having been enticed in by Strange Things Happen and Find Xanadu. I am in love with Reverberotic and its production ❤️. Magma is a stunning closer too.

I wasn't in such a hurry to check this out as I was fairly disappointed with the first solo album, but this is a definite improvement! Love 'Sound & Light'.

There's still nothing across both albums that quite comes close to the best of Goldfrapp though.

I've been looking for this thread for ages but I thought it was in Dance

Well. Find Xanadu became one of my most played tracks of the year. It's gorgeous.

Cinnamon Light is good too. Think the whole album will be a grower.

I saw her live earlier in the year supporting Scissor Sisters and she was much better than last time I saw her about a decade ago. Either her mic was pitched or she's really worked on her range.
