He did say we should just carry on and not mourn, so let’s do that. “When I’m Gone” was released in conjunction with “Curtain Call: The Hits”, and peaked at #4 in December 2005. Eminem said that he was taking an extended break and we might never see him again… and that lasted all of 11 months until he topped the chart with “Smack That”.
