She was just on Heart FM raising awareness on SMA and confirmed she has no plans to make music. Her sole purpose is to look after her children and keep campaigning.

Incredible, the petition has already surpassed 10k signatures so Parliament will have to respond. However, she now needs 100k signatures for this to be debated at Parliament.

Yeah, sadly petitions are mostly meaningless even if they do hit the target. There's countless petitions with even more signatures that go nowhere.

Her best bet is continuing to use her profile to raise awareness via interviews and documentaries. She's done a great job so far regardless. I never even heard of it until she posted about it.

Yeah petitions are pointless, the one for another election hit 10m or something ridiculous and nothing happened 🤣

That was addressed though. It was obvious a re-election wouldn't happen as it was just a case of the supporters of other parties signing so it would change the outcome. Petitions like that are pointless unless the entire population voted then clearly everyone would genuinely want a re-election.

It was still addressed and a statement was made despite the fact it was obviously never going to happen for the above reason of disgruntled voters hoping to change the outcome (Whether it was people who voted Labour signing is a different story and they had no way of knowing).

It may seem meaningless and perhaps nothing happens immediately but at the VERY LEAST it HAS to be addressed in parliament and it's just another way of trying to make change.

wow I didn’t expect to see her watch their last performance of a 4. Nice to hear she is sad the legacy was tainted by how things ended and she acknowledged that. Her saying she misses the girls :(

I wonder if we find out what the narrative is because every single report has said she basically did just walk away from the girls and she blocked them all on socials. I really hope we find out some more from Jesy's perspective because she really has the power to change that narrative.

I was a bit confused with the timeline because apparently the 'falling out' and her quitting was after the Sweet Melody shoot but that was filmed before The Search live shows and she was obviously there? What changed after that performance on The Search?

I think after the documentary comes out all four girls will release a statement saying they’ve reconciled

(I don’t think there was ever much ‘falling out’ anyway and most of the drama was fans/tabloids stirring it up)

We can dream, I think maybe Sairah just felt bad for her. However, Sairah was quite vocal at the time about Jesy so it does make me think maybe Jesy has spoken to the girls.

I agree, I think fans and the media escalated it so much and made there a bigger issue than there was.

As already mentioned i dont think they fact they basically looked like they were erasing her (especially considering they basically only released a greatest hits) really helped to extinguish any flames that they were fueding 😅

Wowwww. That was so much to unpack. She was very honest and open.

SPOILERS

• Wow I can’t believe someone else said they were leaving and that set things in motion. Seems to be Perrie as there was the Sun article in 2021 saying she was originally leaving.

• Jesy admitting to checking out when knowing they were going to break up. Covid being a massive catalyst for Jesy’s insecurities.

• She was quite open about being hard to be around and that there were tensions.

• Glad she said she wishes the girls didn’t find out from her lawyer.

• The girls not wanting to speak to Jesy without a therapist fits with what the girls said about therapy but I guess after a suicide attempt it wasn’t the time.

• Confirmation Jesy tried to end her life again in 2020.

• The fact the girls reached out to Jesy during her pregnancy.

• Jesy understanding why there were hurt by how things ended but also thinking she needed more support.

• Jesy now despising boyz and feeling terrible about the whole fiasco.

• Last time the girls were together was on The Search.

• They had an awkward call as a group after she left.

• Jesy’s first suicidal attempt a week before the Salute music video.

• Jesy knowing Perrie wrote a song about her.

• Jesy checked out and that is why she was barely on the songs by the end.

• No plans to return to music and feeling free being away from it.

Can’t say she wasn’t very honest. Wow. Really enjoyed that docuseries, she was right a mix of emotions.

It could have been Perrie or Leigh-Anne that was planning to leave, because she pretty much ruled out Jade. Whoever it was told the band in advance, and Jesy herself undersandably didn't seem very happy about that person's decision.

I was more interested to know why she left the band. Having heard her version, I actually feel more sympathy and respect for the other girls.

Clearly, fame and facing the public's scrutiny & trolling had a huge impact on her mental health. Consequently, working with her must have felt like walking on eggshells; and that must have been exhausting and frustrating for the other girls over time. Perhaps that's why Jesy's mom (and Jesy herself) felt like the other girls weren't there for her towards the end. But they forgot how supportive these girls had been for 9 years, and she admitted she had mentally checked out towards the end - how much more could they take?

Hearing from her lawyers first must have felt like a blow to the other girls. And insisting on having a therapist present if they were to have a conversation was a sensible approach; I mean, she had just attempted to take her life, and the public statement she gave was the impact of being in the band on her mental health.

Jade previously stated they warned her about blackfishing before she left the band, but Jesy was surprised about the public's reaction to Boyz?

If not for the maturity of the other girls, i think the whole situation could have been a lot messier.

I'm gutted she's no longer with Zion though, as it felt like he was really good for her: I'm sure they have their reasons.

Proud of her SMA campaign.

I truly hope she continues to heal.

Meh. It was pretty much how I expected.

It's so frustrating as she's really talented and overall very likeable and down to earth but the lack of accountability ever makes me want to scream. It's like she threw in the story of another girl wanting to leave the band first (we knew Perrie wanted the group to go on hiatus in 2019 but letting everyone know in advance is different from leaving abruptly in the middle of an album launch) to make what she did right, and then brushing over the blackfishing stuff and not acknowledging how offensive the Boyz video was.....ugh.

She must have been a nightmare to work with at points but it's obvious the other girls were protective of her (Jade and Perrie were literally crying in the Odd One Out documentary) and I'm just glad they reached out after the pregnancy and hopefully have all made amends. They had a beautiful friendship and it's a shame that Jesy's abuse on X-Factor led to nine years worth of issues and was the catalyst for everything that happened years later.

There seems to be a shift in dynamics in 2019 because Jesy was noticeably absent from the Bounce Back single cover shoot, one of their Mix It Up YouTube games and was barely featured in Wasabi or One I've Been Missing videos. She also didn't attend Millie Bobby Brown's birthday party with the other girls, didn't mention them in her NTA speech and then all their Zoom interviews during lockdown she barely spoke. I think when they visited Brazil she didn't meet the fans either or do one of the interviews with Jade and Leigh.

EDIT - Also, Jesy's Mum saying the other girls weren't there for her. That's so unfair. They were willing to meet her with a therapist present. It's not up to the other three girls - going through their own struggles - to be a therapist for Jesy. There's only so much friends can do for someone before it becomes a matter of professional help that's needed.
