EBU - we’ve passed rules to ban vote influence campaigns by governments!

not even a nano second later

KAN - The president of Israel went round every country in the EBU that’s not Arab majority or on their list of know enemies and threatened them with accusations of antisemitism and Mossad until they agreed we could stay

EBU - we’re so happy a consensus could be reached on keeping the contest non-political

At this point I wouldn’t bet against Israel replacing Spain in the Big5 as part of a pay to play deal with the EBU

I hope they win. I will probably avoid this years contest tbh. I know Eurovision can feel political at times but that has, until the last 2 years, never dominated or become the sole feeling you have when watching.

We went out on a high with Käärijä and Baby Lasagna winning the last every Eurovision Song Contest with their mashup and collab Euro Dab. In my head cannon the contest is cancelled because Croatia and Finland couldn’t agree how to split hosting duties

I don't know if this is confirmed or whatever, but this is absolutely what needs to happen. Not showing it on TV particularly in the Countries that have withdrawn.

I wish the UK had the balls to back out, but unfortunately we won't. drama

RTE confirmed on their news bulletin on Thursday that they wont be airing the final or semi finals in 2026.

Can't wait for next years Eurovision, with the semis on February 10th and 12th with the grand final on February 14th. 😍

Israel is definitely paying the returning countries to come back and vote for it. I will not watch and support the contest but will definitely follow the voting patterns closely.

In an act of desperation they announced live tour (across Western Europe only because UNITED BY MUSIC of course) in June. Isr*el is probably headlining it if I were to guess :’)

I see so many entrants flat out refusing to participate in the selection based on this too.

EBU are f***ing insane.
