It definitely gets better on repeated listens hopefully the verses arnt naff

Oh yeah. I've had a listen to the extended clip now and it's really quite catchy.

I don't think it would have been a good lead, but it might end up being at least Azizam levels of hit.

Yeah fron the clip atm i still feel azizam is the bigger sound but could change my mind once the full thing is release because even the clip gets stronger on repeated listens

I wonder if the timing of this release may help it (as we're going into the summer months).

It would be nice to see him get a #1 (or at least a higher placing than Azizam) but it would be surprising to do that with what wasn't the lead single.

I'd say so. If it was what you'd describe as an "instant grat" I don't think he'd be teasing it for several weeks prior to the release.

It's definitely the most instant of the 3 so far wpuld it of done better uf he released this instead of azizam first who knows

I think I prefer this to Azizam. I really like that but mainly for the instrumental drop, whereas I'm really liking his vocals in this.

Yeah, it's good. But it's definitely pre-album release, but like 2nd or 3rd single kinda thing.

So he's done it just right.

Azizam was a great choice of lead. As long as Old Phone didn't kill the momentum then this is another Top 5.

Not 100% sold (might need a couple of listens), but its a lot better than Old Phone

This is great! I think it’s the best thing he’s released in years! And it sounds massive as well.

Ed by numbers esque but catchy enough.

I much preferred the sound of his last two albums what felt a bit more of an authentic sound. Can see this next era for him doing decently though.

Nothing groundbreaking but this is a solid song, can't see past it smashing. It's hard to say for certain whether it would have been bigger than 'Azizam' if he'd gone with it as the lead single, but it's definitely what I'd have done in his shoes. I really like all three songs though, it's probably the most I've ever looked forward to an Ed Sheeran album

Pretty catchy, much better than Old Phone for me (which I’ve never listened to a second time out of choice) with some interesting Eastern influences in the production.
