I mean, if her marketing team wanted people to get talking about this album QUICKLY, then they’ve done a great job. My Twitter feed is just flooded with discourse about the album cover. The thing is

That caused uproar too didn't it , its the entitled few that just believe she should be making kids music She's 26 years old and entitled to make whatever music she likes 🤣🤣

Its not a replica, it's a reference. The photo she's referencing is a lively dance floor where Marilyn and her husband are in full embrace looking at the same thing in the distance. In Sabrina's cover

As long as its not a cover of Perries tears we should be fine

I feel like that wouldve come up. Reportedly, the writing/producer credits are: Sabrina Carpenter, John Ryan, Julian Bunetta, and Amy Allen

Yeah, I'm very excited for the video, and the song sounds like it could be good too, though we don't hear much from it

What do we reckon 3 brand new tracks of manchild will get reset, ordinarily id say she'd easily get 3 more top 10s but theres actually a lot going on at the top half of the chart atm

It will need to do similar or better than manchild 62k debut, golden did 59k last week and its not really slowing yet

I'm gonna predict 3 top 10, but one of them is Manchild being reset

Yeah i would be suprised if she didnt since the last album she had 3 top 5s on debut but with the KDH dominance not sure if she can do that again

Not saying she'll stream the same way, but this is what her reported numbers were overlaid with last week's totals, so she wont need to do the same numbers to get 3 top 5s like last year

I waited for midnight for yall to post my thoughts, but I liked this album on first listen much more than I did SnS on first listen. That disco sound with a little kiss of country really works for Sabrina. Lyrically, i'll have to listen and consider things more but right now I like how raw it feels. EICS and SnS both felt like reflecting on her past feelings with new perspective, and I love hearing her thoughts like that, but I also love that MBF feels like she's currently struggling with those emotions, it feels

A bit disappointed we got a more cohesive album, I like the way EICS/SnS bounced from genre to genre to match the vibe of each song, I thought that was really uniquely sabrina. And I dont think this one quite has the big poppy singles that SnS had, where it felt like more than half the album couldve been big singles. But all in all, loved it

First impressions , is its definitely all very samey and definitely a stepdown from SNS , the only song thats different is manchild,

My favourite on first listen is goodbye , gonna have to have a few more listens to see if anything else clicks

08.0 Manchild

08.0 Tears

08.5 My Man on Willpower

07.0 Sugar Talking

07.0 We Almost Broke Up Again Last Night

08.5 Nobody's Son

05.0 Never Getting Laid

08.0 When Did You Get Hot?

08.0 Go Go Juice

06.0 Don't Worry I'll Make You Worry

07.0 House Tour

07.5 Goodbye

'My Man on Willpower' is very charming. Very 60's/70's. The chorus really packs a punch! I think it'll be my biggest grower. 'Nobody's Son' is very Bucks Fizz. Reminds me of 'The Land of Make Believe' a little bit. A bop. 'Never Getting Laid' is so boring. Oops. 'House Tour' sounds like it'll be the biggest grower!

I enjoyed this album. Definitely not as bad as a lot of the people on Twitter will have you believe. There's no obvious smash on here, but they're all so coded in Sabrina's charm and personality that a couple of them will end up being smashes. I get a real 70's vibe from this album. There were definitely sporadic moments of ABBA and Bucks Fizz throughout all of the album tbh. 'My Man on Willpower' and 'Nobody's Son' are my favourites so far. But I think I at least "like" everything except for 'Never Getting Laid' and 'Don't Worry I'll Make You Worry' which are just boring.

You know what it reminds me of, randomly? You know when Emma Bunton went through the retro almost Motown phase of her solo career? I could definitely envision her recording something similar to this (except not as quirky or charming as Sabrina's)

Not as good as SnS for me but nice enough. Excited to listen to it more and really distinguish my favourites from each other.

My First Listen Ranking:

  1. My Man on Willpower

  2. Nobody's Son

  3. When Did You Get Hot?

  4. Go Go Juice

  5. Tears

  6. Manchild

  7. Goodbye

  8. House Tour

  9. We Almost Broke Up Again Last Night

  10. Sugar Talking

  11. Don't Worry I'll Make You Worry

  12. Never Getting Laid

Honestly really enjoyed this on first listen! Very cohesive and glad that it feels like a bit of a step away from the Short n Sweet sound. My Man on Willpower and House Tour were my standouts on first listen - LOVE them both!

First listen ranking:

  1. House Tour

  2. My Man on Willpower

  3. Manchild

  4. Tears

  5. We Almost Broke Up Again Last Night

  6. Goodbye

  7. Sugar Talking

  8. Don’t Worry I’ll Make You Worry

  9. Go Go Juice

House Tour is already creeping up on me and I am seeing it a lot on Tik Tok especially as everyone’s favourite… I think that will be the post album smash. It’ll be the ‘Bed Chem’ to ‘Tears’ ‘Taste’ I think…
