Would they really save pop music though, I love the saturdays but would the public even care anymore , just look at the shoddy attempt of a PCD reunions even with all the publicity

Even LM wernt immune to dwindling returns just before the hiatus

I fully believe 'Higher' could've been a #1 instead of 'Missing You' (as that was fairly close sales-wise)

Let's be honest they wouldn't get a huge chart hit but they could definitely have a successful tour and reasonable sales with an album.

I genuinely think they'd be alot of love for them - A couple of songs have almost gone viral in recent years....

PCD were always doomed just being a 3 piece and the fact they cancelled the last tour (When there was hype) and alot of people never got refunded.

They need to come back and save pop music!!!

Come back with a new single (Release it on 7" / CD / Cassette PLUS the Megamix as the B side) and launch a greatest hits album following not long after with a few new tracks on Vinyl (Each member signed Vinyl's!!!) with a smaller meet & greet signing tour round the independents and HMV.

Then obviously announce a bigger comeback tour to go alongside with some smaller arena venues and slightly higher capacity locations (PRE-SALE WHEN YOU PRE-ORDER THE ALBUM)

They could absolute milk the comeback - None of the albums have even ever been on vinyl so there's a big plus to releasing a comeback greatest hits in itself.

If any of The Sats camp read this I'll happily work tirelessy to make the comeback happen 🤣

Much as I'd love to have them back, I'm not sure how another Greatest Hits would fly when that was the last thing they released 12 years ago with nothing in between.

I'm hoping one year soon they put in an appearance at Hoopla or something. The demand for that would be insane.

If they ever did come back all I could see them doing is a one off show for something like Hoopla.

As much as I'd love new music I just can't see it happening and I don't think it'd achieve much anyway.

Hmm I hear what you're all saying but I think you'd be surprised at the demand to be honest.

They obviously wouldn't do well streaming / get single chart hits but they could definitely have a successful tour.

Not this revisionist nonsense again.

Literally in the 12 months before they announced their break-up they had Sweet Melody (massive number 1), Heartbreak Anthem (million selling top 3), Confetti (platinum top 10), Kiss My (platinum top 10), No Time For Tears (gold top 20), a platinum album and a Brit Award. How on earth is any of that 'dwindling returns'? That's more success in one year than most artists get at any point in their career, never mind a girl group in their tenth year with a member down and two members being pregnant? I literally cannot understand why LM fans keep repeating this. They seem to base it off the fact that the Between Us singles flopped which was after all of the above success - total overexposure - and even then they still went top 40, and the album itself was another multi platinum success followed by a huge arena tour.

As for The Saturdays I feel like with the 90's/00's comeback of most pop groups in 2022 - 2025 they could have had a big arena tour but they're leaving it way too late now. Ticket prices are unaffordable for most people and that nostalgia wave won't last forever.

A number 1 to a number 9 to 2 low top 40s is still dwindling returns however you sugarcoat it , a dwindling return and a flop is not necessarily the same thing, you have also backed up the argument with your comment about "overexposure" too

I genuinely think The Saturdays could pull off their most successful arena tour to date if they reunited - but they can't leave it much longer. Maybe 2028 at the very latest, to provide the reunion with a 20th anniversary gimmick. If they can't get their act together by then, I feel that they'll miss the boat.

Of course it could just be my algorithm, but I have seen a surprising amount of goodwill for The Saturdays on socials over the years. A lot of it from people who appear to be in their 20s and were probably too young to experience them properly in 2008-2014. Considering that they've not been an active group for 12 years at this point ( drama ), they seem well remembered.

I agree re 2028, it would be a great opportunity marking 20 years since If This Is Love.

I feel like we need a Sats rate 🤭

I'd be so interested to see everyone's top 10 Saturday's songs!
