Legendary film composer Hans Zimmer's only UK top 40 hit was joke song "Spider-Pig" from The Simpsons Movie but his most-successful single is "Time", used at the end of close collaborator Christopher Nolan's Inception from 2010. It is also the biggest-selling piece from a film score in the UK from what I can tell. A remix by Alan Walker was released in 2020.

The song criticises the 2014 World Cup which was held in Brazil. It went viral in 2022 in the lead up to that year's World Cup which was controversially held in Qatar, helping it get an ACR reset and chart for the first time. It has been a consistent streamer ever since.

Taken from his 2002 album The Eminem Show, "Till I Collapse" is the most streamed song on worldwide Spotify that was never released as a single and is recognised as one of Em's greatest tracks. Brian May gets a songwriter credit as it uses a "stomp-stomp-clap" reminiscent of "We Will Rock You" (still to come in this rate). It charted for the first time in 2009 after it was used in an trailer for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
July 17Jul 17 B*gger. Just seen this - as I’ve been so busy with limited internet. Sia and Carrie would have been high up and therefore probably qualified for the next round. But… bring on the final!(Please give us a couple of weeks to vote )

The only platinum non-top 40 from Beyoncé is this track from her 2013 self-titled album. Split into two parts, "Yoncé" and "Partition", the "Yoncé" beat was originally given to Dizzee Rascal (yes really) before Beyoncé recorded the song. The drums were originally played by Justin Timberlake on a bucket as a placeholder but Beyoncé chose to keep the placeholder due to its "organic sound". A vocal sample from the French dub of The Big Lebowski is used towards the end!

Tedder wrote the first lines of the song without knowing of Adele's personal struggles at the time. Adele felt the track perfectly described her situation and Tedder would later include the "turning tables" phrase after she arrived at the studio and used the phrase when talking about a recent argument with her ex.

The music video features actors Noel Fielding and Stephen Graham and is set in the West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, a callback to their 2009 album. The track was controversial as some believed it reinforced stereotypes about mental disorders.
