Perhaps they’re scared to announce it because of your scathing iTunes reviews.

Imagine if they’re delaying Now 123 until they get a number 1 single for the album? If that’s true, then it’s a stupid reason to delay the album

Wouldn't be surprised to see Rick Astley's latest Waiting On You on NOW 123, he last appeared on NOW 116 with Never Gonna Stop.

There's no reason to. Now 16 and Now 94 had no number 1s on them and for the most part, they were quite solid albums. I remember Now 94 very well, as Drake had been dominating the top spot for weeks on end with 'One Dance', and that ended up on Now 95 anyway.

So considering the lack of a No.1 on Now 94, it was a pretty strong album on the whole.

No excuses for Now here, the only thing I can think of is the quantity of material they can put on there. With how slow the charts are at the moment (current No.1 is already on Now 122) they're probably allowing extra time to ensure the next release isn't all filler, and may have some killer.

Now 96 technically didn’t have any number 1s. Fastlove was only included as a tribute and in a way, there weren’t any current number 1s on there and Now 99 didn’t have any number 1s when it was announced; These Days reached number 1 after the album was announced. Now 16 didn’t have any number 1s because all the songs between 15 and 16 that had reached number 1 were owned by Warner or Sony who were appearing on the Hits at the time. There were quite a lot of songs on Now 16 that had missed the top 40. Wasn’t That’s What I Like owned by neither Warner or Sony? If that’s the case, I don’t see why it appeared on Monster Hits (Hits 11) instead of Now 16. All the songs that reached number 1 since 122 have either been by Christmas songs, artists who are selfish with their music and songs that have already appeared
