Each week, new releases from the world of pop are selected to go head to head, with one weekly winner. The winners will then go up against future weekly winners later in the year at the end of each quarter and then again at the end of the year to determine the ultimate winner of 2025.

Week 30 results:

Olly Murs - Save Me 8

Remember Monday - Happier 5

MARINA - I'm Not Hungry Anymore 4

Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Dolce Vita 3

Kai Bosch - Summer of Love 2

Kim Petras - Freak It 2

Bradley Simpson & HONGJOONG of ATEEZ - Almost 1

Elevator Boys - California 1

OneRepublic - Beautiful Colors 1

Sam Smith - To Be Free 1

Total votes: 28

Olly Murs makes a comeback to the pop scene with his new single Save Me (I wonder if this is inspired by his gut instinct in shopping centres?), and it comes out on top of the poll this week. Not too far behind though are Remember Monday and MARINA.

Week 31:

Choose one song that is your favourite from the selection of new releases this week. Feel free to post a rate of the songs in the thread.

Here are this week's contenders:

Bailey Zimmerman - Chevy Silverado

Demi Lovato - Fast

Sam Ryder - The Feeling Never Went Away

Slayyyter - BEAT UP CHANEL$

Tom Grennan - Somewhere Only We Go

Will Linley - First Love

Results of this week's poll will be revealed in next week's thread. The poll will remain open until 04:59 on Friday!

On a week like last week, I'd be giving my votes easily to any one of Chappell, Demi and Slayyyter, who have all delivered bangers (shout out to Shy by Renee Rapp too, the best thing I've heard from this era).

But Chappell wins out of the 3 of them and imagine she'll dominate the voting.

I went for Chappell but only because nothing else really stood out either this week

My personal rankings for Week 31;

  1. Demi Lovato – Fast

  2. Tom Grennan – Somewhere Only We Go

  3. Chappell Roan – The Subway

  4. Henry Moodie – sunday morning

  5. Sam Ryder – The Feeling Never Went Away

  6. Will Linley – First Love

  7. Bailey Zimmerman – Chevy Silverado

  8. Slayyyter – BEAT UP CHANEL$

I would have also included Gary Barlow & Becky Hill this week which seems to doing well on iTunes.

not quite feeling chappell roan but SLAYYYYYYYYYYYTER

Never heard of Will Linley, I'm surprised he's well known enough to even make this list!

It’s not really based on who’s well known or not, just a selection of new pop releases. And with a focus on only pop music now there will be some weeks lesser known names are included!
