Posted Yesterday at 07:251 day Just watched it yesterday and it was incredible. Probably my movie of the year so far.
Yesterday at 10:291 day Oh my I'm excited but nervous about the rumblings of a divisive ending — did you feel that?
Yesterday at 12:001 day Cannot WAIT for this. Looks so so good and I'm hearing great things (but divisive if you are expecting a throwaway, run of the mill horror movie etc.. - much like the reaction to 'Longlegs')
Yesterday at 14:311 day Author Wait, was there something after the credits? :’) We walked out right away. I didn’t feel the ending has potential to be that divisive.

I didn’t feel the ending has potential to be that divisive.I didn't love the ending. The film definitely has moments of humour throughout but it's never trying to be more funny than it is scary. Then the final five minutes before the credits roll is mostly played for laughs which seems out of sorts with most of the rest of the movie. Yes, it’s a fun ending! … but I can’t help but be a bit disappointed that I sat there in pure dread for 110 minutes for it to end like that. The audience were really chuckling along in the final few scenes and then suddenly the credits roll.
8 hours ago8 hr Author I didn’t understand why so many scenes got the laughs, most of the them weren’t funny, at least not laugh out loud funny. Amusing at best.I liked the mood and the funny direction but audience reaction was very confusing at times.
7 hours ago7 hr This was really good. Zack Cregger's proving to be a real master of unravelling storytelling, there was a palpable sense of dread throughout and seeing things through different perspectives was really well done. I did think once the climax came and it got a little more silly in the conclusion, it lost some of it's earlier power and I did think Barbarian did the mad tonal shift a bit better, but it didn't affect my enjoyment and it's still an insanely gripping film until the final minutes.I watched with a fairly quiet audience so I guess I got off lucky there (quiet morning screenings are so much better x)
