February 15Feb 15 Author Tough day for the league leaders with a 4-2 defeat to rangers at ibrox. Celtic come from 2-0 down to win 3-2 thanks to a 97th minute winner. Hearts still lead but it’s cut to 2 points now with rangers in second, Celtic in 3rd 3 points behind, but have a game in hand against Aberdeen, where they can go level on points with hearts if they win. All very tight!
February 23Feb 23 Author I definitely think it was outside the box, that’s where the contact seemed to be (just)Celtic also losing at home to Hibs, so a very good weekend for Hearts
May 4May 4 Huge win for Hearts vs Ranger there, that should be that latter horrible shower out of the title race unless something mad happens!
May 15May 15 How has no one been talking about the Celtic Motherwell match from this week. Only the second most ck teoversial var call of the week too!
May 16May 16 Hearts have the same feeling that fans of Devon Loch had 70 years ago. It's been a fantastic effort for Hearts.
May 16May 16 Celtic are Scottish champions for the 56th time, overtaking Rangers (55) for the most titles of any side.
May 16May 16 I feel really bad for Hearts, it could have been a refreshing change for another team outside of Rangers/Celtic to win the league but it's not to be.
May 16May 16 Hearts were only 11 minutes away from becoming the first side since Sir Alex Ferguson’s Aberdeen in 1984/85 not named Celtic or Rangers to win the Scottish top-flight title.
May 16May 16 Author Yep Hearts robbed by a dreadful VAR call midweek against Motherwell. No need for VAR to get involved there, nothing ‘clear and obvious about it’. Again the officials cost hearts the league, which is a common theme up here in Scotland unfortunately.
May 16May 16 I feel the same about someone from outside the old firm winning the Scottish title and if it was Rangers I’d have been all for Hearts winning it but after McInnes rant midweek I’m all for Celtic drinking those salty tears today 😂. The establishment seemed very annoyed only because Celtic were taking Rangers titles record. 🇮🇪
May 17May 17 The SPFL has confirmed Celtic's title-clinching victory over Hearts on Saturday was not brought to a premature conclusion, while condemning the pitch invasion that followed the last action of a thrilling and chaotic afternoon.
May 17May 17 Celtic fans taking a literal big leap of faith there with the pitch invasion before the final whistle. They obviously forgot or more likely didn't care about the exact same scenario regarding Slavia Prague recently!Anyway shame the Old Firm grip hold couldn't come to an end but I am at least very happy for O'Neill. It's always a nice feelgood story when a supposed "has-been" manager returns to achieve something, like Ancelotti winning Madrid the CL back in 2022.
June 6Jun 6 Martin O’Neill has agreed terms on a one-year deal to become the permanent manager of Celtic. The 74-year-old indicated to principal shareholder Dermot Desmond that he wanted to take the job, during talks on Thursday.
