Posted September 1Sep 1 Didn’t see a thread for this so thought I’d make one for us to share some thoughts here. Now we’re in September how do we think Jades debut album will fare on the UK charts and how much longevity do we think she’ll manage to get?!I was hoping for a #2 debut (behind Ed) but I’m now feeling like she’s gonna end up in the top 5 (possibly behind Sabrina too!) but I’d still say that would be a success. I honestly don’t feel she’ll drop like a complete stone after and think she could get at least a second week top 40 and possibly more with her tour and I think she’ll do quite a lot of promo too.
September 1Sep 1 I think we are looking at 5 or 6 with numbers that would have been enough for number 1 at most points from the time it went on pre-order to now.Gonna predict:01 Ed - Play [150k-ish]02 Sabrina Carpenter - Man's Best Friend / Twenty One Pilots - Breach [25k] > I can't decide this one. I think next week for Sabrina will be a tell and how well she holds up etc.. <03 Twenty One Pilots - Breach / Sabrina Carpenter - Man's Best Friend [25k]04 Ed - Greatest Hits > I really think this will get a big boost due to the release of his album < [21k]05 JADE - That's Showbiz Baby! [20k] > Going to be optimistic and say it's heading in the 18k-21k region <SO nervous it'll actually miss the top 10 lmaooooo! IMAGINE! FFS!!!!!!!!!!! *Flashbacks to 'Rated R' missing the top 15 on release week!!!*
September 1Sep 1 I'm not going to get my hopes up so will predict a #5 debut with 15k sold. Hoping it does good streaming numbers. Spotify will likely be a letdown but this gives me some confidence:

September 1Sep 1 Wherever it lands i feel its gonna be the biggest top 10 sales for a long while (ed doing 150k though id be suprised if he pushes 100k at all)

September 7Sep 7 I think she is going to sell around 10-15k personally don't think she will crack the 20k barrier and I think she will be closer to 10k then 15 tbh. Obviously I hope for more for her!

September 9Sep 9 I'm thinking 3 on Monday (Ed and 21P ahead) and then Sabrina taking over by the end of the week. I agree with Tafty though there's definitely the chance Ed could get a boost with his greatest hits because that does well anyway. If it's lower than top 5 I'll be gutted for her

Ugh. It would have been nice to have had "The number 1 album..." added to the promotional trail... but I digress.
