H is for Hey Baby.

Two big hits titled 'Hey Baby' were released in quick succession during the early noughties. DJ Otzi was first, releasing his Eurodance cover of the 60s Bruce Channel hit in September 2001, and scored his one and only chart topper. The song had a revival during the following year thanks to the FIFA World Cup and has amassed 776,000 sales in the UK to date.

No Doubt released their own Dancehall-inspired 'Hey Baby' mere months later, which served as the lead single from their fifth album Rock Steady, and scored a #2 hit (their biggest hit besides 'Don't Speak').

Which is the superior Hey Baby to you?

Soundclash: Noughties Namesakes history:

is for All I Ever Wanted (Basshunter vs Kelly Clarkson)

is for Baby Boy (Big Brovaz vs Beyoncé & Sean Paul)

C is for Call My Name (Prince vs Charlotte Church)

is for Don't Tell Me (Madonna vs Avril Lavigne)

E is for Emergency (Paramore vs Jordin Sparks)

F is for Free Me (Emma Bunton vs Joss Stone)

G is for Gravity (Sara Bareilles vs Pixie Lott)

I'm going DJ Otzi. I actually really quite hate it, but nowhere near as much as I hate the No Doubt song!

Thankfully they redeemed themselves quickly with 'Hella Good' which remains a favourite.

I actually find No Doubt’s “Hey Baby” slightly grating, but it’s still far superior to the alternative!
