Welcome to the 32nd edition of Club Bizarre, where we celebrate the weird, the wonderful and the wired.

Electronic music has become a cornerstone of all facets of music and as we move into the digital age, its influence is heard on music of all genres (including typically acoustic and analog pieces such as guitar and piano-based/orchestral influenced music). As such, the lines between all genres are becoming more blurred and electronic's influence on music means that mainstream dance becomes more indistinguishable from its pop peers.

We want to delve more into the roots and the primitive nature of electronica, celebrating the weird and wonderful soundscapes that inspired the music we know today. So for Club Bizarre 32, we want you to pick out the most left-field, alternative, idiosyncratic pieces of electronic/dance music that you can find.

For example: we trade your David Guettas for your Aphex Twins, your Joel Corrys for your Kraftwerks and your Sonny Foderas for your Karlheinz Stockhausens. I want this to be a chance to let songs shine that usually wouldn't get a chance in any other song contest. In this edition, the more unique it can be, the better. We want to see the songs that are so ahead of our time that their influence hasn't been felt.

The rules:

This is a fairly fluid theme, but the Google Form will prompt you to answer WHY you think your song fits the theme and what will make it stand out majorly not only compared to others in this edition, but also why it would stand out against other themes we've had. This is a chance to let your inner weird flag fly.

Please ensure the songs are not cheap, not super well-known and fit the theme to the best of your ability. As always, the entries are subject to mod discretion and I personally will cast an ear over all songs as well to ensure compliance with the theme. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out as this is a theme I am very well-versed in. Most important of all, it must fit under the dance/electronic umbrella.

I had a brief "I'll only listen to left field music" phase at uni so this might prove really easy or a challenge to nail something down. I was obsessed with Rob da Bank's show on Radio 1 back in the day.
