September 25, 2025Sep 25 Joni Mitchell is definitely #1Then it's probably Carly Simon and maybe Roberta Flack, both of whom peaked with their 70s material.I do love Kate Bush obvs but only really love a handful of her 70s songs so I can't really class her as top 3 from that decade. I also have a soft spot for Janis Ian and Joan Armatrading. Donna Summer and Aretha Franklin both great too but their respective genres aren't ones I'd be as likely to listen to.
