September 12Sep 12 Always preferred it to spinning around and it's a great song but I still prefer a few album tracks from the brilliant light years to it.It was also lovely seeing kylie score another top 2 with it plus an aussie number 1.
September 15Sep 15 Like In Your Eyes, the sound, the atmosphere of the song, the visual and the video are perfectly synchronised from start to finish, not a thing out of place.

October 8Oct 8 Author This has actually overtaken 'In Your Eyes' now to become my favourite Kylie single. I adore the Euro-influenced production so much, it's the perfect merging of euphoria and melancholy and Kylie has the perfect voice to channel this. 'Spinning Around' was the perfect comeback single in many ways but 'On a Night Like This' is the blueprint of how to follow-up it up.I wish it could have done better in the UK. Obviously #2 is fantastic but that 2-11 fall is so undeserving! Australia had it right, debuting it at #1 and returning it there a few weeks later (I believe that was due to the Olympics performance).
October 8Oct 8 This was actually on in a shop i was in the other day, really enjoyed hearing it in that surrounding.I love the Olympics performance.I agree the 2-11 drop on week 2 was disappointing, the Australian chart run was far more impressive.
October 16Oct 16 Sounded like trash eurodisco when it was released - I remember scratching my head going shh would she sing something like this.But it’s become iconic over time and almost one of her siggie live songs. The “you touch me, I’m falling, it’s your name I’m calling” is legend. Or the way she delivers it.

October 19Oct 19 Author Of all the talk we've had of a current DJ/producer remixing a Kylie song, I don't think this song has ever been suggested when it actually would be the perfect choice! I could see some doing something really great with this.
October 19Oct 19 I long for the day that her music is used more for remixing or as samples in other songs, given a choice id like to see some of her less known songs used to give them a new lease of life but would also be happy for songs like on a night like this to be used aswell.
