A nice, fun little game. A lot of people seem to have an opinion that they would have liked the tracklisting to have been in a different order/not ALL the singles at the start of the album etc..

Current tracklisting order:

01. Angel of My Dreams

02. IT girl

03. FUFN

04. Plastic Box

05. Midnight Cowboy

06. Fantasy

07. Unconditional

08. Self Saboteur

09. Lip Service

10. Headache

11. Natural at Disaster

12. Glitch

13. Before You Break My Heart

14. Silent Disco

Are you happy with it as it is or do you think it'd flow better in another order? If so, what is your order of choice?

I would do:

1 Midnight Cowboy (it literally has an intro build into it)

2 Plastic Box

3 Before You Break My Heart

4 It Girl

5 Headache

6 FUFN

7 Self Saboteur

8 Lip Service

9 Natural At Disaster

10 Glitch

11 Fantasy

12 Unconditional

13 Silent Disco

14 Angel of My Dreams

Ok I’ve changed the order and few times and this is my current one.

  1. IT girl

  2. Headache

  3. FUFN

  4. Self Saboteur

  5. Lip Service

  6. Fantasy

  7. Unconditional

  8. Plastic Box

I'm working on mine atm, but just FYI... I WILL be listening to these!! kink

Ooh great thread!

I’ll need to pick a revised track list from this thread for my next listen through of the album.

Loving how everyone is in agreement so far that Headache should follow IT girl. 😎

Love the idea as MC for the opener with the Intro, 'IT Girl' really should have been saved for the single before album release with that high up placement and Headache is totally her sister. I have two ideas, firstly to have a bit of a storyline that starts sassy, turns into anger, then into to self reflection, then into lust, then into unconditional love with Angel being the conclusion....

01. Midnight Cowboy

02. IT girl

03. Headache

04. FUFN

05. Natural at Disaster

06. Glitch

07. Before You Break My Heart

08.Self Saboteur

09. Lip Service

10. Fantasy

11. Unconditional

12. Plastic Box

13. Silent Disco

14. Angel of My Dreams

Or a more fluid, spasmodic version, to convey the constant ups and downs of showbiz and relationships. But whatever the case 'Midnight' into 'IT Girl' into 'Headache', 'Self Saboteur' into 'Lip Service' and 'Silent Disco' into 'Angel' should be definite.

01. Midnight Cowboy

02. IT girl

03. Headache

04. Fantasy

05. FUFN

06. Self Saboteur

07. Lip Service

08. Before You Break My Heart

09. Plastic Box

10. Natural at Disaster

11. Unconditional

12. Glitch

13. Silent Disco

14. Angel of My Dreams

Interesting. I do not have 'IT girl' followed by 'Headache' lol And I am using 'Midnight Cowboy' intro more as an intro to more sexual pleasures and less as an introduction to the album.

We MUST keep 'Self Saboteur' into 'Lip Service' and I love the 'Fantasy' into 'Unconditional' sequence too!

For my first attempt, this is what I have:

01. IT girl

02. FUFN

03. Natural at Disaster

04. Before You Break My Heart

05. Fantasy

06. Unconditional

07. Headache

08. Plastic Box

09. Self Saboteur

10. Lip Service

11. Midnight Cowboy

12. Glitch

13. Silent Disco

14. Angel Of My Dreams

  • I love 'IT girl' as an opener. Especially introducing us to the title of the album.

  • 'Headache' following 'Unconditional' actually works well too. I originally had 'Fantasy' and 'Unconditional' as track 12 & 13 and had it followed by 'Silent Disco'. It didn't work for me there! 'Unconditional' ends way to abrupt for it to continue into the most romantic song on the album tearsmile so I tried 'Headache' and didn't want to end the album on 'Headache' so I moved things around a little and got what I have here which I'm happy with!

  • I really love the idea of the album culminating in AOMD and really finalising that this era is specifically for JADE and her relationship with the industry she desires to be a part of.

But I'm really excited to hear the album in the way you guys have shared too!

My playlist goes:

  1. Midnight Cowboy [as you guys said, this feels like the natural opener - the album and the visuals kinda give me theatre vibes, with distinct acts etc so it feels a natural opener for me]

  2. Headache [sonically similar to MC, i think they sound great near each other]

  3. Unconditional [bratty vibes of the first to tracks + disco tinges of what follows]

  4. Before You Break My Heart

  5. Fantasy

  6. Plastic Box

  7. Self Saboteur

  8. Lip Service

  9. Glitch

  10. FUFN

  11. Natural at Disaster

  12. Silent Disco [perfect "happy ending" song]

  13. IT girl [perfect "end song" - I feel like we get the pay off of the album title by going on the entire journey for her to realise "oh well that's showbiz baby" at the end of the "story"]

  14. Angel of My Dreams [obvious curtain call song, of course!]

This works for me, and I can see the story of the album better with this run x

I totally get why some people put Midnight Cowboy as track one but IT Girl is such a good opener and Midnight Cowboy has another lyric that allows us to go rogue… 😝

That’s Showbiz Baby: Clap for the Encore

  1. IT Girl

  2. Angel of My Dreams

  3. Self Saboteur

  4. Lip Service

  5. FUFN

  6. Glitch

  7. Natural at Disaster

  8. Before You Break My Heart

  9. Plastic Box

  10. Unconditional

  11. Headache

  12. Fantasy

  13. Silent Disco

  14. Midnight Cowboy

  15. Boy Crazy (with Kesha)

  16. Gossip (with Confidence Man)

  17. Hot (with LE SERRAFIM)

  18. Frozen

  19. Angel of My Dreams - Slow. Angelic. Dramatic.

I’m going to listen again and think of what mine is!! I don’t think the tracklist as it is feels that unusual though it’s definitely not Unapologetic or sweetener esque where it’s mismatched 😆.

I wonder what JADEs original tracklist she had in mind was too!

1 Midnight Cowboy

2 It Girl

3 Headache

4 Plastic Box

5 Before You Break My Heart

6 FUFN

7 Self Saboteur

8 Lip Service

9 Glitch

10 Natural At Disaster

11 Unconditional

12 Fantasy

13 Silent Disco

14 Angel of My Dreams

god listening in this order makes the experience SO much better. im rly mad at the official order (another reason why streaming is evil lol)

midnight cowboy can truly only go first but it girl is such a strong opener too, i would maybe even consider chopping MC completely.

anyway 10/10 album. pop music needed saving this year and jade has done it.

I’ve nearly finished all of these orders lmao.

10/10 no notes (although Lip Service not being followed by Self Saboteur took some getting used to tearsmile - but I liked it and sonically they’re not that similar… it’s just a seamless transition lol)

A1 | Midnight Cowboy

A2 | FUFN (f*** You For Now)

A3 | Headache

A4 | Self Saboteur

A5 | Lip Service

A6 | Plastic Box

A7 | Unconditional

B1 | Before You Break My Heart

B2 | Fantasy

B3 | Silent Disco

B4 | Natural at Disaster

B5 | Glitch

B6 | IT girl

B7 | Angel Of My Dreams

I definitely feel like 'Midnight Cowboy' is the obvious opener. Though, I would be tempted to cut out "Now that was a performance" and add it to the end of AOMD for the album version...

'FUFN' ends in nuts enough fashion to lead into 'Headache'. I think 'Headache' into 'Self Saboteur', then 'Lip Service' works quite well, and 'Unconditional' really needs to end one of the sides of the vinyl due to its abrupt ending 😂

'Before You Break My Heart' into 'Fantasy' gives a disco section before we slow it down until the second half of 'Natural at Disaster'. We continue to pick up the pace with 'Glitch' before ending with the bonkers 'IT girl' and the obvious closer.

Just wanted to share that I have "mixed" these together using Spotify and I'm really pleased with it! When I listen to the album in order now, it doesn't feel right to me coz I've just listened to this every time lmao. So when they don't transition it throws me off lol

But it's a really fun function to utilise on Spotify (idk if Apple or other streaming services do it?) and to see how you can mix them.

Feel free to take a listen and even share yours if you have done the same etc..

(Please note, I don't know how to make it NOT transition between tracks so unfortunately 'Self Saboteur' and 'Lip Service' don't blend as well as they do originally </3)
