Friday at 15:585 days Author Missed the top 40 this week? Florence + The MachineSympathy Magic2nd single from Everybody ScreamReleased: 27th October 2025Label: Polydor Records / Republic RecordsVideoBiographyFlorence + the Machine’s grand art pop cuts straight to the essence of raw emotion—no matter how bruised and bloody the result. London artist Florence Welch’s 2009 debut album, Lungs, came stacked with rousing anthems like “Kiss With a Fist” and “Dog Days Are Over”, all propelled by pounding rhythms and orchestral strings. Welch possesses a bewitching voice akin to a powerful siren wail that’s fuelled by a deep desire for catharsis. “With songwriting, I really like to embody the things I was afraid of as a child. I like to kind of embody that voice,” she explained to Apple Music. “It’s like an exorcism almost.” That passion for delving into the darker outskirts of the mind infuses everything the group does, including the 2016 short film The Odyssey, whose Dante-inspired scenes are strung together with heartache-drenched songs from 2015’s How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful. Braveness dictates not only Welch’s lyrics—which hit on topics as taboo as suicide and self-destruction (“The End of Love”) and as profound as simply letting go (the Grammy-nominated “Shake It Out”)—but also her willingness to evolve. The 2022 full-length Dance Fever dabbles in ecstatic electro and Kate Bush-calibre gothic grandeur, while a 2024 cover of Vera Lynn’s 1941 song “White Cliffs Of Dover” exudes genteel throwback glam. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart History2008 51 Kiss With A Fist -1-2008 21 Dog Days Are Over -2/8- MILLIONAIRE2009 12 Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up) -3-2009 05 You've Got The Love -5- MILLIONAIRE2009 54 Drumming Song -4-2010 02 You've Got The Dirtee Love (feat. Friday at 15:585 days Author Missed the top 40 this week? ROSALÍA, Björk and Yves TumorBerghain1st single from LUXReleased: 27th October 2025Label: Columbia RecordsVideoBiographyROSALÍA may be a flamenco singer, but her favorite musicians are those who have carved out new niches for themselves—artists like James Blake, Billie Eilish, and Frank Ocean. That’s no accident. Like them, she flouts genre conventions while exploring silence and space as much as sound—and she’s remade flamenco and pop in the process. Rosalia Vila Tobella was born in 1992 into a non-musical family in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Spain. She began singing and dancing at age 9. “I always felt that this is my path, that I had to do music, that I couldn’t do anything else in life,” she told Apple Music in 2018. Fortunately, her family supported her ambitions: She began training as a flamenco singer at 13, and in 2017, at age 23, she released her first album, Los Ángeles, an extraordinary, spare set of traditional flamenco featuring just her voice and guitarist Raül Refree. But ROSALÍA had devoured hip-hop and R&B as voraciously as flamenco while growing up, and her 2018 breakthrough concept album, EL MAL QUERER, saw her demolish the barriers between those genres. Working with friend and producer El Guincho, she found a way to interweave flamenco with electronic music with authenticity and integrity. Her extraordinary voice has led a growing procession of artists, including Travis Scott and J Balvin, to line up for collaborations. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart HistoryROSALÍA2020 41 TKN (ROSALÍA & Travis Scott) -NAS-2021 35 Lo Vas A Olvidar (Billie Eilish & ROSALÍA) -OST-2024 55 New Woman (LISA feat. Friday at 16:045 days Author 39 | 32 | 7th weekLewis CapaldiSomething In The Heavens2nd single from SurviveReleased: 18th September 2025Label: Vertigo BerlinChart StatisticsNE (02/10/2025) | 3-14-17-17-18-32-39Sales: 100,000+Certification: -Status: Standard Chart Ratio01 Sales22 Audio Streaming23 Video StreamingVideoBiographyLewis Capaldi’s first two albums—2019’s Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent and 2023’s Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent—broadcast their messy emotional content right there in those sprawling titles. “I think we all attempt to be heavenly sent,” the former Up Next artist told Apple Music in 2023, explaining the latter title. “Everyone strives to be good at something, or find some sort of purpose. And sometimes, in the pursuit of that, it can leave you feeling a bit dejected.” And make no mistake: Capaldi has become one of the most popular young artists of his generation by preserving his songs in a raw, unvarnished state, providing the purest representation of the pain and longing coursing through his lyrics. Amidst the hyper-paced, totally wired world of late-2010s pop, this unassuming Scottish singer-songwriter—born in 1996 in Glasgow—stopped the internet dead in its tracks with his DIY 2017 single “Bruises,” a stark, piano-based breakup ballad that introduced a voice imbued with the sort of soulful grit and deeply felt heartache you wouldn’t expect from a baby-faced 21-year-old. That song was Capaldi’s ticket to major-label deals and tours opening for pop A-listers like Sam Smith and Niall Horan, but he would swiftly join their ranks with Divinely Uninspired…, which fleshed out his sound with lush orchestration and gospel gravitas but retained his fearless flair for emotional dredging. Capaldi proved no less forthcoming on Broken By Desire…, counterbalancing all his success with self-deprecating lyrical turns. Though he took a break from touring after releasing the album in order to improve his mental and physical health, that decisive step felt just as real and necessary as the doubt and passion he airs in his songs. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart History2018 09 Grace -2- MILLIONAIRE2018 01 Someone You Loved -3- MILLIONAIRE2019 06 Bruises -1/5- MILLIONAIRE2019 04 Hold Me While You Wait -4- MILLIONAIRE2019 01 Before You Go -6- MILLIONAIRE2022 01 Forget Me -1- MILLIONAIRE2022 01 Pointless -2-2023 24 How I'm Feeling Now -PS-2023 01 Wish You The Best -3-2023 28 Haven't You Ever Been In Love Before? -AT-2024 37 Strangers -4-2024 59 A Cure For Minds Unwell -AT-2025 01 Survive -1-2025 03 Something In The Heavens -2-2025 44 Almost -IG-6 x #1 | 8 x Top 5 | 10 x Top 10 | 10 x Top 20 | 13 x Top 40 | 15 x Top 100Social Media Lewis Capaldi
