I hope Gaga somehow gets nominated in the category she’s eligible for but I’m not expecting anything. I’d love it if she was to return to the BRITS stage it’ll be 16 years since she last performed there!

Still feel like Sam Fender will get the top award but I suspect Olivia Dean will also do well. It’s more interesting predicting with no male / female categories and a tougher fight for the awards.

  • Single of the Year needs to change tbh. I don’t think that should be so “sales” heavy anymore.

  • Yes definitely backing Lily to win Best Album. It would be a massive moment for her especially considering she never won with her first two nominated albums. Speaking of which, her first nomination fo

The public are now voting for song of the year instead of genre! What a messy decision

Where have you seen this?

It’s been shared online from the BRITs site I believe!

Voting for song could be interesting depending on who it is that’s up for the award! I’m still 50/50 on fan voted for awards at big ceremonies but it does make things a bit exciting.

As it's based solely on sales, it always felt like the least credible category anyway.

Sam Fender's fans tend to be quite dedicated at this thing, so I can see Rein Me In winning with votes from Olivia's fans coming in too.

If RAYE is gonna perform, I hope she performs Feminine Heeling or at least does it in a medley with Where Is My Husband! and I hope Olivia doesn’t get a clean sweep. I hope she loses at least one award

This is the Brit Awards, it’s barely ever been about artistic merit.

True but it just makes the Grammys look like the far better award show which isn't saying much already

much better to have music legends as award givers than tv icons for me . There's NTAs for those tv icons but it's an ITV tradition

For global success , gonna be Alex Warren or KPop Demon Hunters

They tend to only have one special award, and it’s got to be something for Oasis I’d imagine?

I really don't know about albums. The only locks are Sam Fender + Olivia Dean.

Does Ed Sheeran get in on name alone? But it got such low scores, Jade with the more critic success deserves to get in over him and there's got to be a pop album in the mix. And Jade got better reception then Lily Allen too. Also has the biggest debut album going for her too.

So going for

Olivia Dean

Sam Fender

Dave

Jade

Lily Allen or one of the bands

They seem like the right 5 tbh - or the 5 that make the most sense to me. The Last Dinner Party, Biffy or Wet Leg could sneak in though. There are probably other bands I've forgotten. Eeeek I fear there's going to be a massive upset!

Yeah I'm just thinking are they not going to include a band in best album when they had 2 bands nominated last year.

With the BRITS coming to Manchester for the first time, almost definitely there'll be something happening to bring attention to Oasis.
