True, she’s had a long and successful career. It’s probably one of the last things for her to accomplish.

It probably is and its one of the few things she has yet to achieve and i think she would generally be over the moon and so grateful if it was to happen.

The last time the FCP thread got more than 22 pages was June 2023... probably not a coincidence that a certain song with 'Padam' in the title twice was fighting for a top ten place that week

I know Please Stay got to #10 in 2000 but I’m guessing she’s gotten closer than that.

At least especially for you went on to be the New Years Number 1 but i was so disappointed at the time that it missed out on the Christmas Number 1 to Cliff Richards Mistletoe and Wine.

I said it before but disliking the song Together for Palestine have released is totally fine, I'd rather this debate didn't turn political, and it's a very good cause, so please let's avoid any negativity surrounding that (and if you feel negatively about the cause, you may, once again, be on the wrong forum).

That said, there's also nothing wrong with anyone who wants Kylie to be #1! It doesn't mean you can't support the cause of Together for Palestine, without investing in a song you may not enjoy.

Nah Mistletoe and wine is a classic and way more christmassy than Especially for you. I legit hate that song it's so so soooo bad, one of Kylie's worse tracks in my opinion.

I like it for its nostalgic, singalong qualities. Whenever I hear it in a public place, such as the club, it always gets everyone going.

But I agree – it’s not one of Kylie‘s best singles. I prefer its AA side ‘All I Wanna Do Is Make You Mine’

Agree, I think it's better than at least half the pop' christmas songs in the charts currently.

Forgot labels have to actually submit songs to be chart eligible! I remember being surprised when Sailor Song was released and was missing from the Monday mids on its first week as I don't think it had been submitted by the label for the UK charts.
