December 26, 2025Dec 26 shame that denial is a river ended up falling off quickly after it went top ten being one of the more interesting rap hits of the past few years
December 26, 2025Dec 26 Author Jealous Type was absolutely WASTED on the public, one of my favourites of the year and it deserved so much more!
December 26, 2025Dec 26 I really enjoyed 'Jealous Type' as well. Shame this funky, '80s-tinged sound didn't land harder for her this year.

December 26, 2025Dec 26 Author Didn't know this one before 2025 but it's a nice track, really unique production!
December 26, 2025Dec 26 Really liked Twilight Zone when it released, haven't gone back to it though (like with most hits this year). Shame The Subway couldn't quite make it, definitely the better of her 2 songs this year. Very annoyed that Doechii fell off so quickly because of the Anxiety backlash, Denial Is A River is brilliant! Wasn't a big fan of Doja's new album or Jealous Type. Was good to see Imogen Heap finally get a much deserved top 40 this year, Headlock is great
December 26, 2025Dec 26 Oh, 'Headlock' making the top 40 was an excellent chart moment 😍I recently ordered a 20th anniversary reissue of the accompanying album on vinyl.

December 26, 2025Dec 26 Author Missed the top 100 this year? Lewis CapaldiSurvive1st single from SurviveReleased: 27th June 2025Label: Vertigo BerlinChart StatisticsNE (10/07/2025) | 1-4-8-10-18-20-20-19-21-66-54-50-43-55-68-84-89-xSales: 400,000+Certification: Gold01 Sales05 Audio Streaming08 Video StreamingVideoBiographyLewis Capaldi’s first two albums—2019’s Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent and 2023’s Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent—broadcast their messy emotional content right there in those sprawling titles. “I think we all attempt to be heavenly sent,” the former Up Next artist told Apple Music in 2023, explaining the latter title. “Everyone strives to be good at something, or find some sort of purpose. And sometimes, in the pursuit of that, it can leave you feeling a bit dejected.” And make no mistake: Capaldi has become one of the most popular young artists of his generation by preserving his songs in a raw, unvarnished state, providing the purest representation of the pain and longing coursing through his lyrics. Amidst the hyper-paced, totally wired world of late-2010s pop, this unassuming Scottish singer-songwriter—born in 1996 in Glasgow—stopped the internet dead in its tracks with his DIY 2017 single “Bruises,” a stark, piano-based breakup ballad that introduced a voice imbued with the sort of soulful grit and deeply felt heartache you wouldn’t expect from a baby-faced 21-year-old. That song was Capaldi’s ticket to major-label deals and tours opening for pop A-listers like Sam Smith and Niall Horan, but he would swiftly join their ranks with Divinely Uninspired…, which fleshed out his sound with lush orchestration and gospel gravitas but retained his fearless flair for emotional dredging. Capaldi proved no less forthcoming on Broken By Desire…, counterbalancing all his success with self-deprecating lyrical turns. Though he took a break from touring after releasing the album in order to improve his mental and physical health, that decisive step felt just as real and necessary as the doubt and passion he airs in his songs. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart History2018 09 Grace -2- MILLIONAIRE2018 01 Someone You Loved -3- MILLIONAIRE2019 06 Bruises -1/5- MILLIONAIRE2019 04 Hold Me While You Wait -4- MILLIONAIRE2019 01 Before You Go -6- MILLIONAIRE2022 01 Forget Me -1- MILLIONAIRE2022 01 Pointless -2-2023 24 How I'm Feeling Now -PS-2023 01 Wish You The Best -3-2023 28 Haven't You Ever Been In Love Before? -AT-2024 37 Strangers -4-2024 59 A Cure For Minds Unwell -AT-2025 01 Survive -1-2025 03 Something In The Heavens -2-2025 44 Almost -IG-2025 27 The Day That I Die -3-6 x #1 | 8 x Top 5 | 10 x Top 10 | 10 x Top 20 | 14 x Top 40 | 16 x Top 100Social Media Lewis Capaldi

December 26, 2025Dec 26 Author Missed the top 100 this year? Lily AllenPussy PalaceAlbum track from West End GirlReleased: 24th October 2025Label: Lily AllenChart StatisticsNE (06/11/2025) | 12-8-12-23-46-75-xSales: 90,000+Certification: -77 Sales15 Audio Streamingxx Video StreamingVideoBiographyLily Allen was born in 1985 into London showbiz royalty—her dad, Keith, is a veteran actor—but her family connections by no means guaranteed her stardom. Sure, by the time she was 20, Allen had already landed a deal with major UK imprint Regal Recordings (Coldplay, Gorillaz), but wanting to take the speed of her ascent into her own hands, she turned to the only outlet available to enterprising artists at the time: MySpace. After Allen posted demos to the nascent site and became one of pop’s first social-media sensations, Regal put the full weight of their promotional machine behind her. The arrival of Allen’s 2006 debut, Alright, Still, couldn’t have been better timed. Her reggae-infused rhythms and rap-schooled swagger provided a sun-kissed antidote to the aloof garage-rock lads filling up the pages of the NME, while her acid tongue—whether nonchalantly describing an old lady getting mugged on “LDN” or revelling in an ex’s misfortune on “Smile”—introduced a new level of candour and rancour to British pop. As Allen explains to Apple Music, “Because I don’t play instruments live, I’ve always felt like the singing and writing is my part of the band. And if that’s your bit, then why would you not do it properly?” Allen’s combination of eloquence and attitude has made her a natural foil for hip-hop artists, as she’s supplied the deceptively sweet hooks to T-Pain’s 2011 hit “5 O’Clock” and Stormzy’s 2017 single “Cigarettes & Cush”. And while struggles with fame, addiction and relationships have limited her output to roughly two albums per decade, each one has been a Top 10 event, with 2018’s post-divorce/post-sobriety salvo No Shame reaffirming Allen’s reputation as one of UK pop’s savviest synthesists and fearlessly blunt lyricists. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart History2006 01 Smile -1- MILLIONAIRE2006 06 LDN -2-2006 21 Littlest Things -3-2007 15 Shame For You / Alfie -4-2007 08 Oh My God (Mark Ronson feat. December 26, 2025Dec 26 Author Had to recognise one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the year and a surprise chart moment in Lily Allen's West End Girl. Superb song and arguably the centrepiece of the album too.
December 26, 2025Dec 26 Survive is alright for Capaldi standards, though if he didn't face the struggles he faced in the 2 years prior to releasing it I probably wouldn't be as fond of it. Jade's music isn't for me but appreciate her for having the most interesting solo discography of the Little Mix members so far. Her first full-length, 2023's confessional My Mind Wanders and Sometimes Leaves Completely, laid the groundwork for her brash 2024's album This Wasn't Meant for You Anyway, home of the multi-platinum, viral single "Messy." While still relatively juvenile in his tenure, Max’s seasoned knowledge of the house music space and homage to the culture it stands upon have already shown an excitingly mature side to one of the industry’s most sought-after rising talents. Inspired by retro sounds that build the foundations of his grove-focused underground signature, Max’s appetite for bouncy drum work, swinging rhythms, and catchy basslines has quickly captured the attention of some of the industry’s best-known labels. Max’s influence on the scene continues to blossom. From the highs of 2022, which saw unwavering support from industry heavyweights and commendable chart success for landmark releases on Hottrax, and many more, to the unstoppable cadence of 2023, in which Max scaled new heights with music on Solid Grooves Raw, Eastenderz, Box Red and even his label, neXup. Looking at the last 12 months in more detail, Max has continued to aim upward and excel within the electronic dance space with his work. Perhaps most impressively, adding even more weight to the impressive accolades achieved in years passed and owing to some of his best studio productions to date. Outside the studio, Max remains entrenched at the forefront of club culture in the UK and Europe. He has stayed in high demand internationally since launching his neXup brand, which has become just as successful as a record label as an event brand. - SpotifyTop 100 Chart HistoryMax Dean2025 13 Can't Decide (Max Dean, Luke Dean & Locky) -NAS-0 x #1 | 0 x Top 5 | 0 x Top 10 | 1 x Top 20 | 1 x Top 40 | 1 x Top 100Luke Dean2025 13 Can't Decide (Max Dean, Luke Dean & Locky)2025 58 Make Believe (Luke Dean & Omar+) -NAS-0 x #1 | 0 x Top 5 | 0 x Top 10 | 1 x Top 20 | 1 x Top 40 | 2 x Top 100Locky2025 13 Can't Decide (Max Dean, Luke Dean & Locky)0 x #1 | 0 x Top 5 | 0 x Top 10 | 1 x Top 20 | 1 x Top 40 | 1 x Top 100Social Media Max Dean Luke Dean Locky
