  • So that's basically resets confirmed for The Fate of Ophelia, WHERE IS MY HUSBAND! and So Easy (To Fall in Love), but not Man I Need or Golden, as expected.

Only 47.1% of streams come from spotify, and if even being pedantic it's 1 place behind there too 🤣🤣

true

So happy to see Tyla top 40 in the first look! That bodes well for Friday - hope she might even manage to climb top 20 as the Christmas songs fall away? *_*

Would love to see RAYE snag a week at #1 but looks unlikely now.

All too often in this group we have focused too much on Spotify, and then being surprised that the songs doing best on Spotify aren’t always number 1.

On Amazon it’s Golden followed by Man I Need.

And in terms of SCR:

Fate Of Ophelia

WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!

Lush Life

Raindance

Rein Me In

On Apple SCR

Fate Of Ophelia

Raindance

WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!

On Spotify, the difference between those three songs is tiny, and it appears much bigger on Apple and Amazon.

And as ever we don’t necessarily even know what order they’re really in on Spotify because they might have different premium to free proportions.

I didn't even realise Raye had a new 12" vinyl (Christmas has turned me into the walking dead) Ordered!!

Looks like she's uploaded all the remixes / Festival versions to her website for 59p each too!

It’s a shame Ophelia wasn’t released a week earlier as it would be on ACR now and that’s one of this years songs that needs to be left behind in 2025

If The Fate Of Ophelia gets to number one this week, history will be made

it will be a 40-1 climb.

Do girl group Sugababes or Pink have the biggest climb to number one from within the top 40

Opalite, Elizabeth Taylor

Elizabeth Taylor makes no sense at all why would they reset it when it's not even the 3rd best performing song anymore 🤣🤣

And it's as "stale" as ophelia by your logic

Also think this is an example of the way ACR makes everything seem old hat quicker than it probably should. There are like 10-15 songs max in the Spotify top 200 older than the Taylor Swift album. Let's put 95% of the chart on ACR and watch as it starts to look a lot like a chart without ACR magic

Hope big new music January with arties hold back new music back due Christmas rush, don’t end up slow January nothing moves ages same top 40 3 week change round positions that it .

All this chart manipulation stinks and devalues it (Im criticising how the charts are complied these days not specific artists)

The saddest part is that Chris Rea didn’t even make the top five. Is it possible to have one of the most beautiful Christmas songs and not be included at all?

He may continue to increase year on year from now though. He hadn’t made the top 10 until a few years ago!

I'm not surprised. It's an ok song, but not a heavy hitter. I usually skip it on playlists as it's too boring for me
